One useful thing I found was if you press the left button and centre button together, the frequency switches to a temperature thermostatic setting that works on a desired temperature being reached, which adjusts frequency automatically
Yes, which works really well when using in a smaller area. That is the way I use the one in my van. But, in the garage I use the frequency so I can control the fan speed & temp. 👍
Great video. It was very helpful. I just got mine setup in my enclosed trailer. Your tips helped me figure out what to do to fire it up for the first time. Great video! I have the same heater, works perfect that’s to your tips. My only issue is the screen (same as yours) is too dim I can barely see the displays. And I did take off the protective film, lol. Any tips be greatly appreciated.
Thank you I’m having a problem with my new 2 week old heater … when it starts it shuts off saying low voltage then when I turn the power supply off then back on it starts up ? Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Yes, it sounds like you are loosing amperage. Try a heavier gauge wire. It needs a full 10-12 amps of 12 volt power. It uses this mostly on startup then backs off once it’s running. Hope this helps! 👍
Thank you I will try that it does it when it’s almost powered up the pump is clicking and then it shuts off low voltage and one time white smoke came out.
You’ll need a 12 volt supply. The only real issue is that it needs to provide at least 12 amps during startup. I use a LiFePo4 or deep cycle battery. Most power stations can’t put out 12 amps.
Finally the Diesel heater class we have all be waiting for. I kid but great video. I will be installing one of these in the near future. So how much run time do you get out of a tank on these. and how much do they hold? New build has 2 gas tanks.. contemplating changing one to a diesel tank just for the heater.. but it may be way to much fuel.
It would be way more than you would need. I have a 3-gal marine fuel tank in my van. I only had to fill it up twice last winter. So they don’t use much.
i got mine last weekend. hooked it up, filled the tank and touched'er off. so far i am at about 9 hrs run time and 3/4 a gallon of diesel. i have not monkied with any of the settings, just running it as it came out of the box. H-6 for about and hr just to burn off any newness smells. if i runn at the lowest, i wouldnt be surprised it i got 12-14 hrs run time on a gallon of fuel.
Hi there, great video, very clear 👍 I have two questions if you don’t mind helping. I’m using my heater for the first time (used vw multivan t5) and there is a lot of smoke coming out from the exhaust outside the van. How can I resolve this and is it dangerous ? And also, when I set the temperature the screen shows the desired ambient temperature up top and also below another temperature (I presume the output temperature) but that climbs up really high during the heating cycle, to 156+C degrees C. Is this normal ? Should I be worried, or is this normal ? Thanks so much for any help you can provide! 🙏
Don’t use any type of additive in your diesel. This can cause smoke. Also, it may have been over primed. It should clear up. The burner chamber temp will get high.

Hey man I cannot find the answer to this question anywhere. Can you accurately tell me if I have to prime my diesel heater every time I use it? Or just when it’s new and/or when it runs out of fuel?
I've also discovered that some of these heaters are switched between Hz and Temp by holding down the ON button for a couple of seconds on the remote control whilst heater is running ,pressing the centre and left button on mine does nothing..
With the unit outside is it rain proof or does it need to be covered. Also, with the remote inside the trailer can you set the interior temperature so that when the unit reaches this point the outside heater would slow down , thanks
It’s not waterproof so I have to cover it in foul weather. I run the heater on frequency mode so I don’t have to worry about the temperature setting. When it gets warm enough in the truck, I just turn it down to a lower setting.
i think i found it by mistake. hold both left and right arrows at same time while it was running turned the little blue mountain on the left hand side of the display. I say I think I found it because I just received mine today and don't know a thing about it.
Hi, thanks for the nice video! have exactly the same display, but can't get it to run smoothly, slp appears in the display, do you know what that means?
Sorry, I cannot find anything on that. However, it may be that your pulse rate (the frequency) is too low. Check the low frequency and if it is below 1.4 it needs to be adjusted higher. If that does not work then you will need to do a factory reset. If you do need to do a factory reset check on RUclips for how to do it. Hope this helps!!!! 👍

Maybe a very slight smell occasionally when I first start the heater after it has set for a while. Make sure your exhaust is not blowing back toward the intake too. 👍👍👍
Do the fuel tank caps leak? If you have 1/2 tank and travel on a bumpy road will fuel slosh around and leak from the cap? I have not seen this addressed directly on any YT channel. Please be the first.

Heads up, I bought the all in one so I could plug n play. That’s not how it worked out. As soon as I tried to turn it on I got an e 04 code which as it turns out is the fuel pump. I had to take it apart eventually only to find the fuel pump was not plugged in. After I figured that out it started easily. Beware if u see that code and have ur screwdriver handy.
The exhaust must be angled down and away... the pipe and muffler need to vent the moisture, note the weep hole on the muffler, make sure it is on the down / facing the ground.. so it can weep ; drain the water / moisture... to avoid corrosion.. The inlet / intake pipe - tip is not a filter it is a anti insect / noise deflector... Important, make sure to monitor your fuel / diesel carefully.. to avoid using any dirty fuel.. you can buy fuel filter cleaning devices. To make sure your fuel stays clean....
It should go off. If the glow plug stays on the heater will still work but it will use more DC (12volt). You can check if the glow plug is staying on by checking DC usage. The DC will be less when the glow plug is on and then jump up some when it goes off. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!
Yeah, mine draws about 8 amps when the glow plug is on. It drops to a lot less but how much drop depends on the power setting. Like when the power setting is at P01 it draws about 1 amp.
Sorry, 10 month later..The exhoust is not supposed to go in hole snd back. The combusrion air intake should go there. With exhoust pie you get exhoust is sucked in and mixed with air that will be heated and blown in tp your compartmen. ( lots of comments so someone may already pointed it out. ) I have the same heater.
There are 2 holes on the bottom. One is the combustion intake and the other is the combustion exhaust. The large holes on the front and back are the heat exchanger intake and exhaust. The large hole are the clean / dry air used to heat your environment. (Room, truck, tent, etc.) 👍
Don't run your exhaust pipe past your air intake and fuel line. That's a good way to melt your fuel line because that exhaust pipe gets super hot. Send this video is a year old I would imagine you already discovered that. The exit hole in the back of the machine is for the air intake line not the exhaust. It's tempting to Bentley exhaust pipe at a tit 90 to run it directly under the machine, but that's a bad idea. You want that exhaust pipe to run straight down for several inches under the machine before it turns. The exhaust is designed to exit straight down before turning. You don't want the exhaust anywhere near the fuel line or close to the bottom of the machine.

Important, make sure to monitor your fuel / diesel carefully.. to avoid using any dirty fuel.. you can buy fuel filter cleaning devices. To make sure your fuel stays clean....

Hello sir how do you set alpine mode I’m not great with the buttons
I am not sure on that one either. Sorry!
@@TrailMedic911 no problem the manual is a disaster
Show how to program the remote to the controller
I’ll look into it. 👍
Do the 3 button controllers have an alpine mode ?Thx
Sorry, I’m not sure.
No worries
Yes hold left and right button, should see blue light in bottom left corner come on
What does it mean the the glow plug symbol comes on and stays on?
It should go off. If the glow plug stays on the heater will still work but it will use more DC (12volt). You can check if the glow plug is staying on by checking DC usage. The DC will be less when the glow plug is on and then jump up some when it goes off.
Hope this helps.
Happy Holidays!
Yeah, mine draws about 8 amps when the glow plug is on. It drops to a lot less but how much drop depends on the power setting.
Like when the power setting is at P01 it draws about 1 amp.
My settings for the frequency don’t blink for me to change them? Does anyone know how I get pass this? Thanks
Sorry, I’m not sure about that one.
Did you try completely powering it down and then restarting it?
For some reason my 3 button won't go into advance settings, do some models not let you?
As far as I know, all models should allow access to advanced settings.
Same here.
Bottom line….
Don’t get the fuel line near the exhaust! 👍
My controller stays on all the time can't get in the settings menu at all
That sounds like a bad controller. You’ll probably have to contact the seller.
The diesal dont heat up...the combustion chamber heats up to the flashpoint of diesal
It actually has a glow plug to heat the diesel
Air in your fuel line ? Seal in your fuel cap, your lucky… got a fuel leak on the tank fitting…
Sounds like you’ve had a lot of issues!
Good luck! 👍
Thanks
