@@bekfastking2840 after about 10 seconds it gets to the sweeping music you hear while fighting clthe colossus, so pretty easy if you've played the game enough.
I knew the shadow of the colossus one as soon as the beat dropped.

For me it was Pewds. That Let's Play was amazing.
Shadow of the Colossus cannot be forgotten once you've played it. I still remember the sensations of power and weakness at the same time while you were under a fucking giant thing ready to destroy in every second. That game really is a masterpiece and music dude... Always fits in.

Zach unable to remember Darksiders, and describing it as "the game were your ride on a horse" was killing me. I realized he was talking about Darksiders when he said "Death" and " the four horsemen".
I didn't recognize it because I've never played it, but as soon as Zach made me visualize "ride on a horse" while the music was playing, SotC appeared in my mind. I got it thanks to the horse part even though he was thinking of the wrong game!

they just need to use unrecognizable songs, like another medium would be such a better song than megalovania and they could use any song from mario 2 besides the overworld theme

They need some rpg music, they only had final fantasy 7 and that’s like the most overrated rpg ever, we need some xenoblade or dragon quest music

I only knew the Shadow of the Colossus music because I use that specific track in my D&D combats. The Opened Way is an epic combat track
I use Enchanted Arms' battle music. Its pretty basic.

Kingdom hearts and shadows of the collosus were the ones I knew instantly, played them games way too many times and the kingdom hearts theme is my phones ringtone
NGL I have so much emotional attachment to the SotC soundtrack I knew from that first instant of the orchestra hit. I'm so glad that got a modern re-release, it didn't deserve to die in obscurity. Favorite soundtrack of all time, beating out The Witcher 3 and all its DLC.

I actually did now the SotC song. IIRC, that song plays against the first boss, Valus, whenever you first REALLY mount it to deal damage. I sadly don't remember the theme's name...

Ermmmm, I literally think about Shadow of the Colossus every day for years, it is my number one favorite game that has influenced my entire life greatly, and I could not be thankful towards Fumito Ueda and his team for making such a great game 16 years and 6 months ago. Of course I would recognize this masterpiece of storytelling and everything else, how dare you undermine my love for Shadow of the Colossus... 🙏
I actually did know Shadow of the Colossus, it's one of my favorite games. I played the hell out of it in college

I can't prove it but the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack is one of my favourites so i got it the moment it started playing.
The Shadow of the Colossus one was easy for me because it's one of 3 games I consider perfect, and the soundtrack is part of that. No soundtrack has *ever* felt as epic.
I'm gonna be that guy and say I DID figure out the Shadow of the Colossus music in the first few seconds.
Fun fact: The composer of SotC, Kow Otani, also did the music for Gundam Wing and few other Gundam series.

Its endlessly fascinating seeing you guys instantly guess every song I don't know but struggle for ages on everything I recognised immediately, really shows how few shooter and sports games I've played.

The one song the were not able to guess was Shadow of the Colossus. The only reason I got it, was because I was playing it a couple days ago.
When he said “on a horse” I immediately went “Shadow of the Colossus?” but I’ve never actually played it so I don’t know the music, and believed him when he describe Darksiders

Eh, it was always restricted to one specific platform, even to this day to my knowledge, and when it was popular, it wasn't for the soundtrack. It's iconic to those who grew up on it, but I'd have never guessed it on any of the songs. Iconic songs are the ones you just instantly recognise, even if you've never played the game. Like, I recognise the Doom soundtrack while having never played the originals
@@echothefloof5438 But the soundtrack is wildly known, especially that particular track. I mean they play it at video games live. I have never played the game but have listened to the soundtrack often because it is beautiful and knew the song/game as soon as it started playing. The game has been remastered and put on several playstation consoles since it's original release too.
