For anyone watching this video who is getting the compressor cycling issue and want to change the pressure sensor, this is a great video showing it's location. You can reach it from above and below by hand. From below put a 14mm wrench on it, then unscrew by hand. Pretty simple.
Thanks for taken the time on showing me how to do it properly now my kids are also saying thank you Now we can go to places far from home on the summer :)
I did the mechanical work then I took the Acadia to my local mechanic and he purged then refilled and checked the system for any leaks. I assume he added the required amount of oil back into the systems to lubricate the internal compressor parts. thanks for watching.
@10947792 I'm replacing the same line for a second time. First time I took off the entire front face also, this time I loosened the fasteners around the grill and passanger wheel well and was able to pull it back enough to reach were the line connects to the condenser. These lines break because of worn engine mounts causing the lines to tug.
@@SuperElandariego I didn’t have to remove it because the line burst and leaked out on its own. I was having probs with the a/c system so I took it to a local garage…….it was low on refrigerant. The garage filled it up for me….::it worked for a few days then the line ruptured and leaked all the refrigerant out. If I were to replace the line and the a/c was still working then yes, I would have had to have the refrigerant purged from the system.
Do you feel like I could take the bumper off and leave tires on ?I only have ramps no jack stands. I am almost convinced I can do this hose replacement just have concerns with bumper removal. Thank you for your advice
I think leaving the tires on and having to work around ramps would be quite challenging due to limited space to work. The front bumper or fascia isn't that difficult to remove. Having said that I have seen another video where this a/c line is removed and reinstalled without removing the front bumper. it looked like it was tight clearances and I would not have personally tried this job with leaving the bumper in place because it seems you have to bend the bumper quite a bit to get your hands into the work area. and by bending the bumper it may damage the paint. again, that said the other person did it successfully so it can be done.
another person mentioned this too.....are you referring to just the high pressure switch or the entire high pressure line? If you can remove the line then please tell me how. thanks.
you are correct. I did see another video where a mechanic removed this line w/o removing the grill/bumper. you're working space seems to be quite limited but you're definitely correct. thanks for commenting.
You mentioned repairing the other high pressure line previously, do you have any video or additional help with that repair? I’m preparing to do that repair in my 2012 Acadia asap.
No sir I do not. I replaced it about three/four years ago. I did find more information searching forums. From what I recall, you'll need to remove the fuse block and I believe the upper engine mount. that line does wrap around left side of the engine bay, then make a 90 degree turn along the firewall. you'll have to route the line around/under other lines to its final connection point....which is more/less in front of the steering column. Its not extremely difficult....if you can do what I've shown in this video you can certainly handle
Sorry, I do not have this one for a 2016. the body style may be the same and the steps to remove the front bumper may be similar. bumper removal is not difficult, just take your time.
It's possible to do without removing the bumper. Unlike changing out the stupid headlight assemblies... It's not fun, but possible. I did it last year to fix a refrigerant leak due to the hoses rubbing together and wearing a leak into them.
Pls share how you ere able to access the bolts that connect the refridegerant lines.......to me they would not be accessible w/o removing the front fascia/bumper. thanks for commenting!!
@@10947792 I can't remember exactly what I had to do, but I know I did it completely from the top without removing the front fascia. It may have been with ratcheting box end wrenches.
@@Av8orDavehow did you find the leak, the hose on my traverse is wet and kind of crack but not sure if where the leak is coming from is just a guess base on from what I see

This is probably one of the best how to videos I have watched. Thanks for taking the time to record edit and post it.
glad to have helped you!
Thanks

Glad to have helped and especially to help make the kids happy travelers!
now i know where high pressure switch is thanks 😊
glad the video helped!
Thanks for sharing! Background music an extra bonus!
Hopefully this helped you on your project. glad you liked the tunes!
When you charged the system did you have to add back any oil

Did you have to remove any freeon Gas on either the low pressure or high pressure Hose?

I didn't see him change but 1 Jose. What abt the other one that wraps around the back
Thanks for your detail, have a low pressure PS leak that I prefer to do myself. A well maintained Outlook gets no respect on reassembly from the shop.
hopefully this video will be able to assist you. thanks for watching.
Where is the high pressure switch??? I can’t see the one I’m working on today
Can lift the vehicle and remove the hi pressure switch without having to remove the front grill

Dave. Any info that might help would be awesome
I have to do that one too if u find a video send a link man
Any info on this line that you guys found? Need to change mine as well. 😐
- approximatley how long did it take you to remove the front end to get to he lines ?
60 mins or less, and that would include getting the vehicle on jack stands.
But does it come with the bolts?
thanks for viewing the video, but i don't understand your question. are you referring to the removal of the front bumper assembly, the a/c lines, etc?
Do you have a video for a 2021 Bentley legato such with 6 passenger ac controls
No sir, unfortunately I do not.
Love the shirt. I have a 65 convertible.

what size is the botton line? 1/4, or 3/8?
just saw your question. do you mean the line diameter or the fitting size. the brake lines are 3/16"
What is this job valued at in 2024?
Isn't that the low pressure discharge line?
13mm is the new 10mm I swear
You can change this hose without removing the bumper but it's very very tedious, just remove the bumper!!! lol
