Receiver driers or desiccant bags should be changed every 4 to 5 years according to experts. This will keep moisture out of your AC system and prolong the life of your compressor. There are 2 small bolts on the very bottom of bumper cover, one on each side that I did not show, and also one of those clips close to each bolt that needs to be removed. Anyone doing this type of work should already know that the refrigerant will have to be removed first before opening up any AC lines.
To help anyone doing this job, use a socket and tap that seal down. This will give you enough clearance for that snap ring and also break the seal, making it easier to remove. To install, tap it in far enough to clear the snap ring, install the snap ring, then use the screw to pull the seal back out to seat against the snap ring. Use a bit of PAG oil on your o-rings before installing the seal and this job will be easy.
Yah the day I go that far into my Acadia I'm replacing the whole thing as I wouldn't trust removing reinstalling an old thin aluminum condenser without developing a leak, but that's just my luck.
I know this is an old video, but I used a comment from somebody else in this video. I had to use a socket in Hammer up a little bit to get the old snap ring out. Basically, had to do the same thing in reverse when I put in the new dryer. Hammer it up a bit with the socket, then with a normal pair of snapping pliers, I put in the new snap ring. In order to put the cat back on, I had to screw in a bolt into the screw hole and pulled down on the dryer so that it would be flush as possible. Then I was able to screw the cap on.

Did the lines that bolt on the side of condensor have a o ring on each line or just one
I don't remember. You should be ok as long as you get a new seal kit
All that comes new with a new condenser anyway?
That's fine if you need/ or want to buy a new condenser.....all that is needed though is to change the drier element if the condenser is fine
