    MARILYN! You used a word so befitting for how I feel about this video because it was great! I'm downloading Inkscape (again) so I can give it another try. No extra layers to delete once you've "clipped" the two layers like you have to do when you slice in Cricut is a big plus! Awesome tutorial 🙌🏾🙌🏾🌹

    Your videos are great! I love how calm you are and explain everything clearly. I have a question? I have an outline and I'm trying to fill it with an image. Is there a way to fill that out line to where the image resizes and shapes to the outline?

      If the inside image is an svg you could possibly use editing points or nodes to warp it yourself but I’m really not sure. Sorry I couldn’t help more.

      I'm sure it can but I haven't done it in Silhouette. I only use it for rhinestone templates. I will play around with it to see if I can figure it out. Thanks so much for watching!

      You can do this with JPEGs and PNGs as the "fill" layer. There may be others, but this is what I use. Thanks for watching!

      Hi Andrea! Thanks for watching! I am going to put together a series of short videos that will help people get started in Inkscape and introduce some processes (like the one in this video) that are good to know for crafters. What I did when I started was watched various RUclips videos about the basics of Inkscape and then I just played around in it. Pretty soon, it all made sense and now I absolutely love it! I am definitely willing to help also!

      @@MakingwithMarilyn so I had an image that I wanted to place over another image....however I decided to recreate it as an SVG then use your steps. So I ended up doing exactly what you showed in your video. Thank you!

    I did exactly what you did and everything disappeared. I did it multiple times with different graphics and they all just disappear and leave me with a blank canvas. Very frustrated.

      I'm sorry it isn't working for you. You do have to follow the particular steps for svgs, pngs, etc. TroyTube is an excellent teacher and has some similar videos. You might try to watch some of his.
