When he accidentally rolls backwards down the aisle (and he's laughing) still cracks me up. The women don't even notice him. Jerry Lewis was the greatest comedian of all time.
I absolutely loved that character. He is coming to this airport every day even though he doesn't have any passengers. He has everything prepared and is ready to go, for the group of passengers that coincidentally are his guests here. It's probably not meant to look this way. But I find it inspirational, that he is following his dream with so much passion. And he is so pure. Aside from that - The character is also super funny. This music and how he always walks so closely around the plane. The scene where he accidentally rolls out of the plane made me laugh incredibly. I rarely had laughed so much at a scene in a movie :D
I saw this as a child with my family at a local drive-in. I laughed my little buns off, especially during this sequence. I'm 65 now and laughing my big buns off at the same scene! By the way, Captain Eddie made a lasting impression: I grew up to be a pilot, too!
my favorite JL movie ever. I laughed myself stupid even the first time I saw it as a kid. This is one of the best site gags in the movie...the plane reveal...Just can't stop laughing...😂🤣thanks for posting!
I often wonder what came of Donna Butterworth and the life she lived. Besides her early years and the announcement of her passing, there's very little information on her.

The old relic of an airline with the aviation music LOL!

This is my favorite movie of all the movies he ever made, truly a hilarious movie. 😃
I loved this movie as a kid. Jerry had his own style. Love how his son’s band is in a few of his movies.

I knew she was in a movie with Elvis, but this is the first time I've seen her with Jerry.
Great movie, totally underrated
I always loved how he starts the engines like he's starting up some gas Lawn mowers. 😂
As a kid I loved that old movie 🎥
"If I'm not too Loaded" . Classic.
Wicker chairs, so hilarious 🤣 love it 💗
Those are the correct seats for passenger aircraft of that age. They were comfortable and, more importantly, very light weight.
Jerry lewis was a genius
His son's band in the closet was funny..lol
There’s another scene in which Jerry puts on a record and listens to his son’s #1 hit “This Diamond Ring”
Out of curiosity I looked up the tail number and it is still airworthy. Parked at Oshkosh WI
This was my favorite segment in this movie. Eddie seemed like he would have been a good father figure even if he is a bit aloof.
i recall the in flight movie called "Sustenance" too bad it was not included in this clip
It’s in another clip hilarious
Gary Lewis & the Playboys crammed into the closet--love it!😄! Isn't that Grandma Walton inthe pink suit?
Yes that's Ellen Corby, Grandma Walton.
Looks like she designed the interior of Eddie's plane
Pee Wee Herman definitely has some of this character in the mix
Boy flying today is a show itself. A cross between In Living Color, Roseanne and Jerry Springer.
Eddie is ever crew member except the flight attendant AHAHAHAHAHA!
I love this movie I seens other jerry Lewis films even with frank Sinatra
eddie was the best uncle in the movie. bugsy&everett was the worst LOL
He forgot to shout out clear prop before starting the engine
Eddie's airways staring Jerry Lewis 😂

HaHaHaHaHa … this is the greatest comedy ever!

9:34 was funny as hell..
Is there a simulator in this one they collected the flight data from to familiarise yourself with its flight performance and ability
Hey Eddie how is the corrugated iron sheet on skin friction with relative airflow?
Danger zone ALRIGHT ah back in those days of aviation was where all the excitement was what do you think Da Vinci and flying machine concepts
Jim Careys Teacher 👍
It's an O engine not a V engine or straight block
