Props to Dejounte and the Spurs organization, he landed in the perfect spot to grow as a person and basketball player and you can see the classiness of the Spurs organization definitely rubbed off on him. Great episode!!! I was already a fan of Dejounte but now I’m even more a fan!!! Thank you!!!
Man oh man!!! This brother DJ Murray is as authentic as they come. 100% enjoyed every minute of this interview and I'm about to watch highlights of dude. Y'all keep bringing the smoke Fellas. I watch every one too!!!!... this will definitely be an episode I share with my homies and homegirls and watch again 👍🏾 👌🏾
I’m glad we got DJ on our team, he definitely the dawg we needed
This is my new favorite episode. Murray is now my favorite player. His story is amazing!
I didn’t expect him to be one of the realest people I’ve heard talk, wow.
Respect
Just wanted to say how awesome it is to see y'all kids do your thang.. I know your kin thru the Calliers and know that Love is still living watching you talk and hearing you show love to everybody! GOOD FOR YALL SWEETIES.
Great show, I love how y’all and Knuckleheads get us that inside perspective on how ppl be! I always watched DJ cause I’m an Oregon guy and we got that NW connection, but now I’m all about him even more!
I wasn't aware of Dejounte before this episode, but when someone has heart and humility, it stays with you. May God continue to bless Dejounte's steps and all his dreams in the NBA come to fruition. This is why All The Smoke, The Pivot, and I Am Athlete is essential. Real recognizes real, so there's no room for fillers. These platforms allow these athletes the space to be honest and free to be real without judgment.
By Far the best all the smoke 💨 interview to this day
Souf Side Seattle representation at its finest!! We proud of you up here mane. Stay humble but keep your feet on they neck!!! I grew up with his mom and dad and I watched him grow up to. This kid is authentic in every way. I knew he was a pro the first time I seen him play! Me and Poppa debate your status in the league all the time. Keep it up bro!
The head hitter himself lol 🤣🤣🤣 bruh really was hitting 9-5 workers in the head with the ball all summer long lmao 😆😆
This was one of the best interviews i ever watched three authentic legends chopping it up on the real much respect to the young brother dejounte for keeping it 100
Hands down! One of the BEST from All The Smoke! 👊
Watched this whole interview start to finish - what a journey. Probably my favorite NBA-related interview of all time
Met Tony Parker here in Orlando in 2009 all-star game backstage in the players tunnel. Dude was a straight DIVA and gave no damn to talk to or even acknowledge anyone while the other players took photos and signed autographs
that was 14 years ago man people change tony was at a mall here in san antonio and he was doing pics and autographs he couldn't had been nicer
Hes French what did you expect
This interview is a perfect example of the good that that this podcast can do for these athletes. This man just gained a bunch of fans because of the way he spoke in this interview. Seems like a solid guy.
As a young spurs fan, i really enjoyed S Jack on the team. Now I’m older and see how much resentment Jack has against the franchise that got him his only chip is ridiculous.
DJ gave everything he could to the spurs and his improvement shows it. Sucks it was a tainted relationship but still one of my favorite players.
for real man it's like salty ass stak is always gonna be salty pop cut him from the 2013 roster
the dude really thought he was better than Manu. He's a racist
Only Foreigners want to play and thrive in that system.
Tony Parker is a POS and the Spurs are trash for keeping him around after sleeping wit Brent Barry wife
@@maa7332 maybe because they aren’t a bunch of babies like us Americans idk
Man this guy is now one of my favorite plays. Not only is he cold but a real sold dude as well.
Props to Dejounte and the Spurs organization, he landed in the perfect spot to grow as a person and basketball player and you can see the classiness of the Spurs organization definitely rubbed off on him. The Spurs needed to rebuild so they had no choice but to trade Dejounte and also did him a solid by trading him to a good up and coming team, hope he has more success in the future.
I just watched/listen to Dejounte, I am telling you this young kat is so far ahead of his years its incredible. He will be a top 10 player soon if he’s not now.
I saw this young Brother play defense on Luka and took over the game in the 4th qt to lead Atlanta over Dallas, Trey Young has a lot of respect for this guy to close out a game
Just listening for a few minutes, I can honestly respect Dejounte and want to hang out with him. Dude keeps it real. 💯💯
That cut CLEAN ✂️ 👌
He stay with a fresh cut
And real, not artificially enhanced
Dang, this interview was one of the top 10 you guys have done! I’m glad I watched this because I see him in such a different light now. His mentality is perfect to a guy that will be great on and off the court. Respect 🫡
This was a good interview!! I was following DJ his 2nd year in San Antonio til now! Just listening to his story made me love him more! Growing up from where he was til now is definitely awesome! We love you here in ATL ❤❤ keep shining we got your back!! 💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I deeply respect and honor u Murray, for the love you show to the one-and-only DAD you will ever have. I am a dad and trained and raised my boys and got absolutely disrespected and shut down. You, being pro-active to heal the wound is,... man, what an honorable act! U r a winner. Good luck. Love.
This one of the best episodes i’ve ever seen, easily top 3 episode
His story resonates with me on soo many levels, being from the hood, facing jealousy, adversity & so on
DM feels like a brother on the other side of the pond, Will meet him someday for sure…
Real recognises real ❤
Dejounte Murray nothing but awesomeness!!❤
I love his principles and what he stands for.🤗
“We competing 2 c who make da best noodles n da house” ong I felt em on dat 😂
Hadn’t paid attention to this young brotha before this interview, but nowI’m a huge fan. Keep grinding young fella! Keep your family close and leave a legacy!
I used to think he was a great player. Now I know he’s a great person. Awesome story. ❤
This was a great interview. The way this young man handles himself on and off the court should be a great example to the young people looking up to him. He is one of the handful of players that I can say I love his style of play. Now listening to his back story confirms the discernment. Be Bless Matt, Stack and Dejounte!
Couldn't have said it better. He just gained a fan in over here!!
This is a POWERFUL interview🤲🏾
I seen Paola grow up. Been a Paola fan from the day he played with my nephew. Seen Murray play a few games. Hearing and seeing this interview, I give him all the respect. Wish you nothing but the best; health, wealth, mentally physically and emotionally. Respect my brotha
