To think this girl started with losing out to JEDWARD in UK’s x factor about 10 years ago (which I have never let go) and since she’s been doing really well in musical theatre, playing lead roles in waitress and wicked… that last note sounds a little weary but is bang on the money. I am impressed.

It's always been there - but this video really shows it very clearly. The same lighting effect is used for quite a few Elphaba songs, if memory serves - they definitely turn up in The Wizard And I (moving quicker than this..) and I think are used in No Good Deed but you can barely see it through the haze.

I think she also has an especially strong, solid battle cry at the end. for me, there are so many amazing Defying Gravity out there, and often it falls apart in my opinion at the battle cry.
