Thank you Dr. Can for analysing my game! After I do my homework (learn Sicilian defense, finish Fundamental chess calculation course, solve psyhological issues against stronger opponents etc.) I could record a new video if you agree. Since video was recorded my game was improved a little bit in meantime. I manage to reach rating of 1262. your youtube videos and Chessable courses are one of the most important factors for my improvement. Thank you!
Darko, I am so humbled to hear this. Thank you for your kind words. Sure, you can record a new one lets say 6 months from now, and we can talk about potential progress!
I think that the point on the thought process is so important. Many people would instantly gain hundreds of rating points if they did the 3-ply calculation on every single move. And sure, "instantly" is an exaggeration, because it takes time to learn and constantly apply the thought process, but you get the point. 😀
Great video! Thanks Darko and dr. Can! And I agree on what you said at the end, it would be better without the computer arrows and such. Still, very interesting. 26:52 Thank you for this. I do see great moves now and then in my games. However, I overthink sometimes and I wind up not playing that great move. 'You move it to g5 because you want to keep the Knight in the game. To avoid the trade, it is as simple as that." ... plus a little later: "It's not about g5, it's about keeping your Knight in the game." SIMPLE! 💪 32:45 I understand the idea of 'I lost a piece' while in reality it was a good exchange (resulting with a material plus). I need to check a lot in the game how much material I lost vs the opponent lost. It takes time/thinking. I know this can be automatic, as I already do see lots of tactical patterns without any conscious effort. One day I want to train this specific evaluation skill a lot so it is automated. More 'Chess Coach Reacts' are welcome! 😀
Great video. Board visualisation seems big issue round 1100 / 1200. Also you said your blunder course was coming out end of July. Blunder maybe 😂. But when is it due please?
Ah yeah, it seems the video was recorded a month ago or something. Anyway, it's the course 'The Chess Elevator: Climb to 1200 and Beyond'. I've completed that course and there is lots of practice to prevent blunders, including the upgrade for board awareness (maybe a better word than the word 'visualisation'). Important training in my opinion.
Thank you! I recorded this video in June :) The course is already published and it is called "The Chess Elevator". It contains blunder check puzzles as well as 3-ply calculation ones. Right now, I am working on a course completely dedicated to the blunder-check :)
Just wanted to show my support for what you're doing, I've been following your channel for a few months and find most of the content is near perfect. I'm around 1450 rapid and I think I've picked up a lot from your content.
@@Dr.CansClinic When you're offering I may take advantage, thank you. 🙂 With white I play a Colle-Zukertort which I find that most guys up to 1500 do not know ( hoping this goes a bit beyond 1500 when I climb ) and it does the job and I win most games as white but I know I'm going to have to expand in my quest to get better. Which one would you suggest me to start with ? Also at which point in time do you think I would have to get really serious with black ( planning to learn the Caro-Kann ) ? Atm I do not really know a lot of openings both with white and black, I just learned how respond to standard E4 and D4 ideas and played a lot but I think I need to up my game as black significantly so is my choice good and what would you suggest ? Thank you in advance ! 🙏
@@maanche101 Caro is good and solid - you can keep it for the rest of your life. Slav is similar against 1. d4. You can start learning those as you reach 1500.
@@Dr.CansClinic Thank you, that was actually the plan. Again, that's some work that you're doing, really appreciate it and I think your channel will grow a lot.🙂
The moves you thought up as moves that could be good/great/best. Those moves still need some calculation to see if it is really a good one or not. If you spot more candidate moves then your opponent, you will have more choices. That can be a good thing. (Those candidate moves should be of quality, because else you need to calculate too much while loosing time.)
Hi Dr Can, I sent you a message on lichess offering up some of my games for your review. Feel free to contact me there or I can just pick one and let you know.

Yes bro it's 100% true i was stuck on 1000 for very long but after knowing 3 ply method i easily reached 1200.. it was like magic to me 😂😂
@@xdhruuvvv Haaah, that's great! 😀
Agreed! :)
That is amazing to hear! Was it due to my course on Chessable?

Thank you as always for your wonderful feedback, Mark! ❤️
Always great to hear the thinking process of a stronger player
Thank you so much for your kind words. That is a very effective way to learn in other domains too.
Just want to say I love this video idea and I hope you do more along these lines. I'm rated in the high 1000s and this video is perfect for me.
Super nice feedback, so motivating ❤️

Thank you 🌹
