Man I've been playing tons of Assetto corsa and Rfactor2, iracing but I went back to PC2 today and i was blown away. It's the only sim I actually feel like I'm driving a car really friggin fast.
his talking the truth, but u need 6dof motion sim rig, dd steering wheel, 7.1 speaker/headphone, and butt kickers for feel true features of project cars 2.. the physics truly amazing. project cars 2 is a serious software for serious hardware
I know this is old but I've heard the FFB for this fame is underwhelming compared to Assetto Corsa.

hamzterix I’m still waiting for the Next Level Racing rig. A bit impatient... I have been in contact with NLR, and they told me that at the moment they don’t have any items to send me, (due to high demand.) Hopefully it will arrive early november. I ordered the rig in mid august. So at the moment I have the steering wheel attached to a table. Not perfect, but it works. I’m a little disappointed about PC2, it’s a great game, but not a simulator, more of a simcade really, so at the moment I’m back to Assetto Corsa. I will probably play some PC2 gokarts, that’s really fun. For some reason my VR-experience in PC2 is not too good, I’ve tried adjust the settings, but to get 90FPS I have to turn down SS to 1.4. In AC I have 2.0 and still get 90FPS without problem. (i7 7700, 1080ti, 32G RAM)
I love all this stuff, would love one day to have the full VR setup av got project cars 2 and imo I know nothing about racing but its hyper realistic imo brake temps, oil/water preasures/temps the lot, not sure about gearbox temps but there probably is, I heard one of the updates released a fix where turbo chargers weren't working at higher altitude tracks ffs, it doesn't get more real than that, there's nothing on the market today that does that.

Well obviously Ben Collins is going to say it's the best driving simulator. Which it is, but its not a *"proper"* simulator.
