Hi, nice tutorial but I would suggest to tick the "visible in scene capture only" instead of "owner no see". That way, if there's multiple pawns, you would only see their icons through the minimap.
thanks! Have you ever thought of a map like in Resident Evil 2 Remake? Where a room is colored for being investigated/ typewriter save points marked etc...
Hi, thank you for this video. It was what I was looking for. I would like to know if you could think about doing a tutorial on geocaching. I looked a little at the "geotracking" functions and "georeferencing of a level" in UE but there is no real tutorial on this area. I would like to try to make a geocaching type mobile application to create an interactive hiking route. I would like the hiker to go to points that will be geolocated on the map and that this triggers the automatic opening of a message/puzzles when he arrives at the coordinates of each point. Currently, I have no idea how to do this.
Yes you can do that, so it would apply exactly like a health bar, but of course, you would have your marker instead. Then you simply make it visible on the screen at all times or whenever you're within radius. You can use the ai health video as an example. If you're still having trouble let me know
Sorry, but now i am wondering if i can hide certain objects from the camera. For my game, I want the objective to be to collect keys from around the map. I dont want these to show up on the minimap, or else it would be too easy to find. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for the kind comments. There should be an option within the blueprint itself where you can toggle the visibility from the camera, let me know if you found it.
He made it better, tbh. All those Unreal content creators be like "but you see, there's this problem, so now we go back to..." thing, just get to the point
Simple and magic! Thank you

That's a better way of doing things. Thanks for the tip.
Simple and understandable . thanks bro
how can i make it not show my character when looking at minimap because my character has a shadow that pops out from underneath
thanks!

How can I "Clip" the view, so I can show a house plan, for example
How would I make my marker static, so it does not rotate when the player moves
How can I hide the snow falling in the minimap and the shadow cast when the character jumps in game? And part of his head appears on the icon.
Very cool

Hey there, I haven't really messed about stuff like this, but I'd like to, so perhaps you can expect something in the future but I make no promises.
Ok thanks.@@lisowi.
Thanks!
i dont have add input mapping pls help
What version of unreal are you using? I believe that in prior versions to 5, you go to settings and add and input there.
@@lisowi. im using 4.27.2
Is there a way of giving enemies a distinctive marker? For example, I want a red dot above the enemy to show where they are. Thanks!

@@lisowi. thanks for the response! Your tutorials help me so much and i think ive got it working now! 😊

@@lisowi.
is there a way to remove the blue background or at least change its color?
Are you referring to the sky or the void past the map?
@@lisowi. I assumed the blue void was the sky, no? 🤔
Does work also in 5.1?
Yes yes it works. I also followed this video perfectly 😉😉
I think a minimap belongs on the level not the character IMO.
It’s not a mini map. It’s an above average map.
How is this tutorial different from this one? Same exact video.
