"He is always going to complain about low skill. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do about that... I just care that I have enough students in class!" Damn this is so accurate to actual colleges lmao
Great video series :) I haven't played this game for 8 years I think and now I getting back to it and I enjoy the content. I have access to the Cities of Tomorrow apparently and it seems that producing Omega is the best when it comes to a "production city". Although I need to stay away from building Megatowers on "roads", something I had to learn the hard way :)
Thanks for doing these, been playing since release (that was a pure EA type day), your voice is clear with no crappy background music. I have already learned new things about the game such as the 'm' key...so important now. I think you should keep it up. Liked and subscribed for sure. I watch your videos while I play, its relaxing.
I'm glad you're liking the videos. I'll never forget release day. That was something!! I'm definitely planning on doing more. I hope you enjoy the rest of season 1 as well as seasons 2, 3 and 4! Thanks for the kind words.
I bought the game back in 2013 when I was working abroad but never got a chance to play it - came across your video and now I am hooked (watching) its like Truman show but better 😆
Hi! I chanced upon your videos quite by accident. Just nosing around youtube, looking for something to watch. I watched another player do the whole SimCity 2013 thing and he totally ignored traffic. Now, I've never actually played this game because 1) at the time I was broke and 2) when I did get a job, the whole launch fiasco was in progress. Plus, I like playing alone and the whole "You have to play with others," was a turn-off for me at the time. But, after watching his and your videos, I've decided to give this game a chance. After watching his videos - which are funny as h, I've learned everything I shouldn't do - especially when it comes to traffic. He still says, "Traffic is no big deal." But even as just a viewer - seeing the mile-long back-ups of sims trying to just get into his city (and this includes his desperately needed oil deliveries after his wells ran dry), I could see that, "Yes, traffic is a big deal." I must say, I really like how you handle it. Plus, he just hurried to get everything right away - which I understand, since it's hard to wait - but your method makes a lot more sense. So, thank you. I'm really learning a lot as I wait for my game to be delivered. I'm really enjoying your series.
What happens to the other oil pool under industry area? Do you add more oil wells in area? Or does it migrate to other pool well pumps? Or destroy industry and add oil pumps?
The other oil deposit stays in its original area. It doesn't migrate. It's up to the player to decide if they want to drill multiple oil deposits. Some city plots will have oil, coal and ore. Those resources stay in place.
Watching this and I don’t know if you fixed this in subsequent videos but building an oil refinery will create plastic so you don’t need to import it. Also it will create fuel, which generates more money than crude oil.
Yes if I was staying with oil as my industry. I'm only doing crude oil to make enough money to start electronics. The oil underground doesn't last forever. It will run out. For that reason I tend to switch industries. Refining oil is a fun option. I have a tutorial on it in SimCity 101 playlist.
I received my game some days ago and I have started playing along. But my city started growing faster than yours (72000 people). Now I have too much available jobs (low wealth jobs), my factories are closing, commercials are closing, and the the traffic is starting to become a problem. What should I do ? Sorry if my English is not perfect, I'm a French speaker learning English 😊
You can't actively export freight. It's not a specialized good like oil, coal, computers and processors. Freight is automatically shipped from industrial buildings to commercial buildings. You can store freight at the trade depot lot to make industry happy but that's all. No tab to export.
You don't change image in the game. You need to go to how you access the game. I am on Origin. My Origin image is what SImcity uses. Whatever program you use to start the game if it has a way to set the image then do it that way.
Just giving out a comment, I'm sure you already know of this, but I think the education advisor is complaining about the gap between educated sims and the amount of high tech available jobs your factories/industrial have. Since the education level gradually grows as long as they have schools to attend to, the sims may not be in the level of skill those factories need and are lacking workers of such skill.
Thank you. Yes. I already knew about it. Advisors are good but I don't always follow their advice. Education level and Tech level are not the same. Some schools have no influence on Tech level.

Exactly! That's a great point.
I like your videos man im still watching it on 2024 and it was worth it.
Thank you
This is so cool! I'm having so much fun following you!
Thank you for following. I so appreciate it.
Love the pace of the videos and by repeating things over and over again, one begins to grasp what needs to be done.
Thank you for the feedback.
awesome videos im watching all of them and they just keep getting better! super interesting thank you for sharing! :)
Thank you so much. I also have seasons 2 and 3 as well. Glad you are here

I'm glad you're playing Simcity again. Yes. Omega is a great money maker. I did a tutorial on Megatowers. I'm glad you're here. Enjoy!

I'm glad the videos are helping. When you get the game and start playing just let me know if you have any questions.
Have fun with your cities!
thanks again~
You're welcome.

Leonard are u still playing? Started getting into sim city recently again
Yes. Still playing. I always seem to come back to Simcity. Part 3 uploading soon.
@@leonarddavis8732 Thats awesome! Looking forward for Part 3. Have you thought about doing co-op play too?
@@perk2204 Thanks. Part 3 uploaded. I used to play multi-player when the game 1st came out. The mechanics didn't always work so I primarily stay solo.
@@leonarddavis8732 Kind of the same. Plus it's a challenge to find anybody engaged in the game as well anymore.
You could draw the dirt road over to where your factories are you can add those 2 pump jacks you didn't use.
I agree. City is making a good profit so I didn't stress about the extra pumps

Get rid of extra factories and commercial buildings. Try to get a nice balance between workers and jobs.
Have fun with your city!
Thank you so much
My only question is why did you never export "Freight" ? you kept losing a factory here and there because of it!
You can't actively export freight. It's not a specialized good like oil, coal, computers and processors.

How can I change my avatar in simcity 2013 multiplayer mode? Thanks for the answer

@@leonarddavis8732 I use EA version for Windows, my avatar only shows in single player, it doesn't work in multiplayer (PvP)
We need a discord group
Excellent idea!
how to make Bridge
Look for my Understanding SimCity tutorial playlist. It's called Raise and Lower roads.
em video tôi thấy có mấy cái mẹo mấy video trước có rồi
Thank you
