- Hey everyone! This vlog is SUPER chaotic, but I wanted to give you an insight into how the party planning is going for Simon's first birthday. We are doing the "first trip around the sun" theme, and I have been doing DIY for the majority of it. Share your favorite first birthday themes in the comments!

Love all you did!! My son DeLuca is turning one August 20th!! We will have his party the 21st and I LOVE THIS THEME!! Do you mind sharing about how much you spent on decorations, sorry if you said in the vlog and I missed it!!
Oh man that's a good question. I didn't spend much on the decorations because I made everything myself. I designed the little month sun's myself and printed them and cut them. I bought the letters for his name on sale at michaels $5 each maybe and spray painted them. I made decorations out of cardboard but I don't recommend that...they didn't hold up well day of. I bought the balloon arch kit on Amazon for $20 or so and an electric air tank. I also made the invitations myself and had them printed at staples. The high chair banner wasn't expensive either because I printed out the letters myself, got the yarn from Walmart and I already had the wooden beads. The biggest expense was the tables and chairs we rented and also the cake. I believe we have a birthday vlog you can watch to see how it all turned out but had we not done the tables and chairs rentals, it wouldn't have been expensive at all!
You could hot glue a crown to a baseball hat too. I’m super crafty if you need any help or suggestions let me know 🙂
As far the balloons you’re gonna have to do it the morning of 😭 my mom blew up 100 balloons for my baby shower and then had to redo almost all of them the next morning

Also for table and chairs check with a local fire department!! Sometimes they rent them out 🙂

I don’t know what high chair you have but you could probably get small command hooks to attach to the high chair and then hang it from there
That's what I was thinking! I'll have to check out the command hook section and see if they have one that will fit the shape
