Grab an oil expansion plug for the lower intake and route the valve cover vents to a vented oil catch can. Back in the day, they'd just run a hose and vent to the atmosphere before PCV systems.

Can stand oil leaks. At first when I saw that intake gasket set I was thinking maybe the rail seals weren’t done right. Idk about you but I always use RTV instead of the cork pieces that come in the set.

should anyone need/want to use the end gasket pieces, dimple up (with a punch or a drill) the "china walls" of the block at each end of the lifter valley. smooth 'em so they don't make a crack, but with the dimpled surface you have a better chance the gasket won't walk around as you drop on the intake manifold.

Hey neo I am getting my first set of gt40p heads for my 89 fox. I am getting the heads and an explore upper and lower intake for a trade. My question is what do I need to do to the heads to make sure they are good to bolt on? Also I am wondering what spark plugs , gaskets etc I am going to need. Then I figured while I had it apart I would put a cam in it. What would be the best cam for that? I have no mods done the car as of now so it will be a good first mod to do heads cam and intake. Thanks for the videos you’ve helped me out a lot. 👍👍

You can pop the thermostat off the intake and vacuum the coolant out. i have a wet/dry with a valve in the bottom can tone it down a bit. Suck it all out so it don't make a big mess. I am not cool with the nut and loctite though, don't want that down in the motor. Would have it welded back on lol...Not so sure my Super Vic 351W even has that baffle (no PCV), putting the new big Vibrant oil catch can though.

I just boosted my HCI 92' coupe (I bought it brand new in 1992) with a Vortech V3 SI and I am having the same issue with oil pissing out pretty much everywhere around the lower intake.... I did a catch can setup, but I don't know if it is correct or not. I still have the screen in the lower intake, and the PCV valve along with the valve cover that is venting into the catch can. But I am removing my lower intake sometime this week to redo the gasket/seals and I guess I'll see if that baffle was installed when the guy did my HCI setup years and years ago. My dipstick came loose out of the tube when I got on it and oil pissed out there as well. We'll see if this all helps, and if it doesn't, fvck the boost and I'm going 427 NA.

I have the same issue going on with my systemax intake. New build 331 w v3si. All I has was a vent on the back of the lower intake. Had oil leak issue and thought my evac system was the problem. I added a puke tank connected to both valve covers and plugged the vent on the lower intake.
Did another test drive and it still leaked. I think I may have compromised the lower intake seal on the back. So I tore it down again to re seal the lower intake.
