Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and even he in his earthly body stated "no man knoweth...", and it is with this understanding that I'm OK with not understanding how eschatology has/will play out. The beliefs of pre-mid-post, amils', preterism/partial, historicism, futurism should all be considered, for it is written to have a strong defense of one's faith. One thing is certain, early reformers looked to Rome as the AntiChrist, and before the modern state of Israel, their views would be considered some flavor of preterism today.
