I hope this can at least inspire you to convince your friends to throw some blankets in your car and go on an adventure even if it’s just for a weekend. Or the confidence to go by yourself and know you might meet some friends along the way. The sights I’ve seen and memories I’ve made are what my childhood self always wanted. Going beyond the face value of living in a car the biggest lesson I’ve learned is just how to go after the things you want and be the person you want to be without worry of how society and the people around you feel about it. This entire thing was shot on an iPhone (minus the dad cam footage) and I started with a 1500 car. If this is something you wanted to recreate it’s easily doable. This year a goal is to get into more long form projects. I’ve launched a Patreon with maps to all of the overnight parking, campsites and nature spots I’ve found for your own adventures, and it helps me stay on the road and share these stories and one day upgrade the equipment I have access to. Thanks for watching!
Heyy Kyle, My name is Jana and i'm from Germany - thanks of you and your inspiring storys i bought a camper van for travellin europe this summer. Always wanted to travel but i needed a little push and you and your people gave me the last i needed. Stay the way you are and thanks for everything 🌈🫶🏾😋
@@KyleGoesOffseriously, this video is a classic of a genre that ran through the '50s, '60s & '70s (basically from WW2 till Neoliberalism). The joy & freedom expressed is a delight ❤
this is literally THE bucket list activity for me. All I want is to go on a road trip with a bunch of photographer friends for like a month and see as many beautiful places as we can
These kind of videos have inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and see the world. I feel like humans get stuck in a cycle of going to school and then working their lives away until they die to afford materialistic things and stay home all the time. I want to live my life free with a lot of gratitude and full of memories. Thank you for touching me with this video! I currently have $5000 in savings for a van. I can’t wait to hit the road
At age 65 it’s good to see individuals following their heart and not being intimidated into leading a fake life that doesn’t serve your mind, body and spirit ✨Power to the People ✨ that choose to live a pure, authentic life! Nicely done!! 🌱☮️🕊️🌎🕊️☮️🌿
I don’t think what I’m going to say will get the recognition I’ll expect it to reach but that won’t stop me. I’ve always loved van-life videos and always dreamed of the thought of traveling and stuff so I clicked on this video and it made me feel a whole different feeling of how I usually feel watching other van life videos. This is absolutely eye opening and beautiful; this made me feel like that dream I have, is possible. I watched this during school and when the video finished, I looked up and realized, this isn’t all there is in the world. This will change. I’ll change. Thank you
I can honestly say that watching these videos have been both an inspiration and justification to the life I live. Living the dream and having that dream become great memories is an important part of having a happy life. Even though I'm 58 years old with three adult sons and seven grandchildren, I never grew up and I don't plan to either. Two of those grandchildren are in college currently starting to live the life that they have always dreamed of. I live near the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and spend most of my free time hiking on those very mountains. I live a life that most people only dream of and even at my age, I have never been happier than I am at this point in my life. I guess that once a person reaches their fifties they begin to realize that they have more years behind them than ahead. It kinda makes you appreciate each day of life more and try to live it to the fullest. Thanks for your continuing inspiration Kyle. Peace
Something I really like about you is you have a lot of natural b roll. And it’s not over exaggerated or really edited. It really makes it feel like you could be there. It feels like I could be doing this too. And showing that if I really have this dream, It can come true. It doesn’t have to stay a dream. That’s something that your videos have shown me. I just started living out of my car because I see that it’s possible.
This literally made me cry. One-day I'll be this way, living freely. It's so nice, so reassuring to see others think this way too. I'm not weird, I'm not a bum, I'm just aching to be truly free and at peace
I started watching this video thinking “I’ll watch just part of it”. Nope, got hooked on this wonderful story and didn’t want it to end. My only question is why isn’t this video a Netflix Special, because it is actually that good. A story that should spread everywhere. It contains beautiful stories that are so healing just to hear and watch. Imagine actually being there, living in a “community” of people that is so healing.
whenever i ride bus to school hating the same repeatable cycle of my life there's always a vision that pops up in my head about the things i should have been living it's great to see a video that captures that kind of life i wanted
If a group of us Gen Xers rolled up in a small town as we traveled in the 80’s, everyone would have pulled up shop and ran us out of town. So jealous of kids today living the van life and seeing the world!!!
Dude this brings me back to my early 20's carefree vibes. Traveling all over North America in a RV, living simply and free! It seems like during that period of life there's a certain naive way to see the world and there's still so many new things to experience and places to discover. Those experiences and memories make me who I am today. Now I'm 36 so I see the world a little differently and have other objectives but I'm still more free than most people my age, living debt free in a small house that I built myself on a piece of land with my girlfriend and dog and I even still have a truck camper to go on trips and still kind of feel that free bum life! Your video is a masterpiece, I can relate so much. Enjoy every minute of those moments before your friends start getting boring hahaha!
You met some great people and captured the feeling and lifestyle well. We kinda got to know the people which is cool. I enjoy traveling exploring with friends. Great vid keep it up
This moment in their lives in a true gift. For it all to line up in this specific moment in time to form a little band of travelers that love and laugh and explore together is wildly magical. So lucky
There’s such a beautiful energy and contentedness held precious in your hands throughout the making of this video. You guys were loving every second of it and so was I, thank you for sharing ❤
AHHHH I've dreamed about nomad'ing for as long as I can remember!! and seeing other people pursue my dreams is truly magical! I can't wait until I can do it for myself
i love this video, you’re one of the people who inspire me to start van life one day and escape a conventional life. you should start a podcast honestly its amazing to hear these perspectives!
This is what I think of when I think of reality tv. I definitely went through a range of emotions watching this and I can’t wait to get out there and just live. This could easily win a Sundance film award, it’s so authentic and I would love to see more.
I plan on going on my journey very soon I’m so excited. I just don’t know what to expect, but I try my best to be and stay positive. I just can’t wait to see what life has for me. I hope I run into ppl like them.

I’ve been having a hard time mentally lately and watching this video made me rethink and remember what my real goals and dreams are. This is exactly what I want to do, I want to find the right people and see new things. I want to be able to tell these stories. So, thank you. This was eye opening.
Man, I love watching all of these guys! I’ve been following them on youtube, tiktok, and instagram for over a year now. It’s so cool to get to know them from a different perspective. You’ve made some amazing friends and memories that lots of people wish for! Thanks for living the life many of us wish we had the guts to live 😅 rock on! 🤘
right now im 14, this life has been my goal for as long as i can remember. I am a climber so of course i have so many connections to people who live like this. But being so young i still have so many roads i can take and the options feel endless. I know this is the life i want, yet it feels so wrong to want. Thank you for making this I genuinely appreciate the creativity it took, as well as time. This really helped me gain clarity on how much i want this to be my end goal.
I'm new to this channel and this is the first time I clicked on your channel, It's so cool that I get to be one of the first people watching your first video.
This sort of life has been my dream since I was a very young child looking at pictures in magazines. I want so badly to be able to do something like this some day and yet it seems so impossible for me especially since I have pretty bad social anxiety, adhd , sensory issues, and other mental issues which somedays make it hard to even leave my house. But I continue to dream about this sort of life every day and my hope is one day I’ll finally get to buy some kind of van and achieve it , love these sort of videos they inspire me so much
The story telling of this was so captivating. The simplicity of the adventure is so much more accessible than we make it out to seem! Cheers to exploring!
Currently building out my van and heading to go on a trip through europe in 2 months from now. I only got me, the van and my motorbike (to explore places) on the towbar wich I will travel with. I am sooo interested and hyped to what will happen during this trip, but on the other side I am very anxious of what if it is nothing close to I ever imagined it would be. For me as an pretty introverted person without social media or any backup to connect to people, I hope get over my shadow and get more extroverted towards others and maybe all is meant to be like that and at the end everything goes well ... To find and connect to people like these in the video, on my trip would just be a miracle. Lots of love from Germany ! Fantastic 10/10 video keep it up.
Very cool posse’. Safe, fun, and interesting. You guys are going to remember this forever. Your travels and adventures have changed you forever. DON’T allow anyone to talk you out of it!! I love my van, too.
I cried the whole time. I long for this kind of adventure. I long for it as an escapade of the dull world I live in. Thank you for letting me believe that one day, I could eventually and hopefully be on the road, free. That is it : I want to be free, I want to break free. But her I am, stressing my life over my exams. I am only 19 and barely hanging, I just want a taste of happiness after so much suffering and pain.
I never thought I'd want a van with a small bathroom, 2 cook top sink bed and TV- would be like a mansion and thee most secure living I can think of. (With room for a big fat cat!)
currently got registered for my fall semester in college and im here just like, thinking about living a life like that where i can just go where i want to go and do what i want to do. i unfortunately have a shackle on me through my lactose intolerance and i need to frequent a walmart to get the lactase my body doesnt produce. If i only got over the anxiety and stress part of travelling to the point of asking "why not?" instead of "why?".
I'm sure the kid's in the mid to late 60's to early 70's did this probably in Vans but didn't have the modern technology and camping gear that they have out now. Good road travel vlog.
I've been living on the road for almost 3 months now - a dream I've had for nearly a decade. I've yet to meet any other "road-lifers" on my journey and to be honest, I'm scared to. I have AuDHD and I happen to be trans. Finding people (in or out of road life) that understand and accept both of those things seems like an astronomical challenge. Seeing you and so many others find your people and meet friends who also enjoy travel while catering to the child at heart is very inspiring. Here's hoping we all get to live our dreams and make those lasting memories.
As another neurodivergent trans person that's yearning for a life like this it's really nice to know there's others out there taking that step even if it's scary for us. Best of luck on yr journey! ☆
Just a few days ago I saw a few of you in another video of a friend group making a one month trip. I remembered Charlie with his guitar :) So happy you also make videos!!
So sad to see this Video Not doing so well despite Kyle having many subs. Hopefully this will Show up in peoples recommended soon. Because it so well crafted. And i think with the introduction of everyone in the group. The Short/tiktoks/reels Will have more meaning in the Future.
I’m 19 siting in my childhood room that doesn’t have a window so it’s always dark. I love the sun, car rides and the forest. I truly wish I could go to the states for 6 months with my dog and just explore and meet new people. I want to show myself and my dog the beauty’s of this world and watch the sun set with him and a group of friends I just met. One day I WILL do this. This WILL be my life even if for a few months.
This is one of the best videos I've seen in awhile. I love that you guys are all doing this together. I live and was born and raised in Santa Cruz. I'm sure you guys came through here. I thought I spotted some pics that looked like our area. Although it could just be you were in the central coast. Big Sur is literally like right down the highway. Love seeing your guys adventures. You should do a channel with all of you together.
This video came at the right time. Van-life / travelling with friends with not much of plan in mind Is also a dream of mine. However the older I'm getting (17 about to turn 18) the more I feel like this dream can't become a reality (especially with college right around the corner). I've been following this group for a little over a year now. It started Alex Rogers then caleb and I've been living vicariously through them and their dream but you and this video has definitely made me more hopeful that this dream can become a real. Also this was such a cool perspective because I've always wanted to know more about the group as a whole.
i really appreciate the how to make money on the road section, I have always wanted to start a van life. currently im in college and working, and i still find the time to travel and camp twice a year. one day i will be apart of my own van life community, while still having a home to go back to.
Here's hoping we all get to live our dreams and make those lasting memories.
As another neurodivergent trans person that's yearning for a life like this it's really nice to know there's others out there taking that step even if it's scary for us. Best of luck on yr journey! ☆
YES! The 60's hippie vibe is alive and well in 2024. This makes me very happy!
Dang this is pretty epic! Like a little short film about life and the little wonders it offers
my heart is so full after watching this!

Ayyye stay golden
Just a few days ago I saw a few of you in another video of a friend group making a one month trip. I remembered Charlie with his guitar :)
So happy you also make videos!!
Correcting myself : Charlie wasn’t the one who played the guitar but I remember him and this gorgeous guitar with the doddles :)
So sad to see this Video Not doing so well despite Kyle having many subs. Hopefully this will Show up in peoples recommended soon. Because it so well crafted. And i think with the introduction of everyone in the group. The Short/tiktoks/reels Will have more meaning in the Future.
Oof yea it flopped but some people enjoyed it so that’s cool!
I hope you get there
This is such a beautiful view into all of your lives, thank you for sharing
Glad you joined along!
This is honestly my favorite video ever made on RUclips, such a well made video and makes me want to become a van life content creator even more.
I can’t wait to do this when I graduate
Getting to watch your video right after my exam is over is like a bonus thanks you thank you thank you 😭❤️
Finally a long video. In a few years when we get our drivers licences im doing this with my friends

I am sensing a movie about them on Netflix in then near future!
This is amazing Kyle keep working hard
For sure!
This was amazingly put together props to you and your friends for creating something special
I’m in Santa Cruz right now! Got stuck here for a while your home is so beautiful and filled with amazing people
One day I will live exactly like this
Cool you visited there! I live close and have been looking at concerts on the plane for a while😁
So good dude!! Can’t wait for more long form :)
Thanks for all the inspo, maybe I’ll be as cinematic one day
I watch this video so many times. Very inspirational , can't wait for my own experience on the road. nomads 💜💜💜
I️ love this 🥹truly inspirational ❤ planning on getting a van myself and traveling
Same!
This group is a vibe ❤
This video came at the right time. Van-life / travelling with friends with not much of plan in mind Is also a dream of mine. However the older I'm getting (17 about to turn 18) the more I feel like this dream can't become a reality (especially with college right around the corner). I've been following this group for a little over a year now. It started Alex Rogers then caleb and I've been living vicariously through them and their dream but you and this video has definitely made me more hopeful that this dream can become a real.
Also this was such a cool perspective because I've always wanted to know more about the group as a whole.
great video guys, love the vibes, sending love from a fellow Van Lifer in Australia ❤️
That’s so awesome! Must be a great time
i really appreciate the how to make money on the road section, I have always wanted to start a van life. currently im in college and working, and i still find the time to travel and camp twice a year. one day i will be apart of my own van life community, while still having a home to go back to.
Doing weekend trips is a great way to start. I didn’t go on the road until after college as well
This is so inspirational to watch
