Yo miami boi is on firee . Man I loved joey and JST before but you make me love this company so much more . I love the new content this year really fire !!!
+1 for an aggressive vocals video. Pretty much what I know is to use a 7b with the vocalist almost right up on the mic with Rvox and a little room reverb. That way I can hear some of the softer words that may not come through as much, but not worth retracking (because we know how naturally dynamic aggressive screamed vocal DIs can be), and to get an idea of what it'll sound like when I compress it later. The room verb is just a little ambience to help give the vocalist more confidence and to feel the music more. They often want me to throw some distortion on their vocals, but I encourage them to focus on getting that distortion from their performance and technique before I add any in the mixing process.
@@joeymusic oh I suck at so many things so it's hard to choose. I think in general the interwebs is lacking good info on metal drum reverb use. With types and specific setttings with examples. Snare drums for sure, but also other things.
Everything else you mentioned was spot on with the tips but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Kaotica Eyeball, Not sure if you're being paid to trash it but countless people have used it and it does a great job for what it does, I've been using it for a while and definitely does a great job. I am not a full on singer but that is besides the point. My space is treated and I have captured vocals without it, and they come out nice, and I've used other types of pop filters etc and this by far did the best job along with whatever I did to treat vocals, but it definitely is a DO, but to each their own. And also it helps with cutting down noise from outside too. So there is a purpose for it.
