    Tried the Scheps trick on a mix and OMG it made such a difference. It sounded so flat before and after trying this out it just sounds a lot more lively. Great tip!

    The Scheps thing is great when you have a mix with lots of elements coming and going in the mix. Quick note, I think he does it in dual mono instead of stereo as well :)

    • @joeymusic
      @joeymusic  2 года назад +1

      He does do it in dual mono! In metal I found I prefer it in stereo tho, idly. Maybe I need to investigate further

    Yo Miami! When using the rear bus trick, (which really works btw haha) do you send it to your 2 bus as well,? As in, does that signal combined with the full mix, go into your bus compressor, or do you route it straight to the master track? For context, I have an instrument bus and a vocal bus running into a 2 bus, where mixbus compression happens (and some other stuff) which I then send to a master track, where any loudness plugins are. Should the rear bus also go into the the mixbus comp or not? I'm doing it without now, and it sounds good. But wondering what's most common.

    • @joeymusic
      @joeymusic  2 года назад +1

      When I do it I send it to my 2 bus as well! But either way can work, it just depends which sounds better
