Halloween is just the greatest movie ever and when my mom let me watch it when I was twelve (I am now 16) she said wake me up if ur scared. Woman slept thru the entire movie and when I went to my room she asked do you want me to bring in a Night light? That movie was awesome I think she was joking
If i was the sheriff of Haddonfield i think i would just advise the citizens in the town to stay clear of the myers property. Give Michael a clear path to his home because that's usually where he goes if he doesn't know where Laurie strode is. So just give Michael myers a clear path to his home. If it looks like someone is in your house then leave immediately. Dont try to be a hero, or assume its a Halloween prank. Leave. Then have surveillance watching his home, and when he gets there, keep him there. If he tries to leave then the whole department will be ready to take him down. But i would definitely have a michael myers protocol if i was sheriff of that town.

It is assumed that Michael myers can transfer his consciousness over to new bodies, or at least that's what i was gathering from the curse of michael myers movie. Dr loomis tried to develop a relationship with him since he 1st killed his sister. Its just impossible
