I totally understand that point of view, but a lot of shows are sorta scripted like that just so the show keeps going and has a constant flow. But I do get how you'd feel if you thought it was a spontaneous moment and realized it wasn't.
ephemera And don't forget it was just before she performed 'She' so the story was defiantly relevant to the song. It wasn't just her trying to share a funny anecdote and for it to come off as not rehearsed, it was supposed to add to the song so everybody would have more context.
