I am in the States, and I just got the exhaust bypass valves from Spyder. I did removed the stock mid-pipes with the secondary cats. The secondary cats do not affect our emissions or your ECU, no codes. The install was very easy to do, and the sound is amazing. Cold start with the valves closed is loud at first, and then it mellows out. Driving with the valves closed it sounds a little louder than stock, I think because I don't have the secondary cats. Driving with the valves open is nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend these if you're looking for an easy, cheaper, solution to other valved units on the market, and you want to have a nice flat six roar at WOT and higher RPMs.
My car is a 2002 Boxster S, 3.2 6spd manual. Love it.
Every sports car should come with this from factory
Fabulous video and good quality looking kit being installed by the pros.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video & product! 👌
I was curious about two things after though…
There were three outlets on the solenoid that you mounted by the engine lifting eye.
However, you only seemed to fix pipe work to two of these outlets? What is the third outlet for?
Also… It would of been great to see which hose was the inlet vacuum hose that you spliced into.. I didn’t really see where you took that vacuum feed from.
This product doesn’t come with instructions does it?
Just this video as a guide as I understand.
I live in Japan. This exhaust is very exciting. I tried to purchase from HP. but therr was no shipping address in Japan.
Is it possible to send this product to Japan?
What is the red hooped wire for?
Will these fit on the factory sports exhaust (showerhead)?
hi is there any way to hardwire it to the Porsche sports exhaust button
Hi,
Just a couple of questions regarding the install. I've now fitted the system (sorry I live far from you guys!) but I do have some questions:
1) there does appear to be a small amount of exhaust coming out of the valve output when the valves are closed - is this normal?
2) the sound when the valves are closed is louder and bit more throat than stock (not a bad thing at all!) But wanted to check this is normal too?
And finally, if this is normal (3) I assume the car will still pass its MOT emissions test when the valves are closed?
Many thanks
Fab! Can you do this to my wife’s 2007 Boxster S? If you like to use it for a future video you will be most welcome.

Straight pipe the secondary cats and replace that really heavy stock muffler.
how can i get one of these and do you do these for the Porsche 987S?
Will this pass a smog check in California for my 986, 2.7L 2003?
Yes because the catalytic converters are in place
Hi, will the car pass mot with the valves fitted? And can they be wired to a switch inside the car instead of the remote fobs?
It will pass the MoT as you just revert to the old system for the test. It could be wired to an internal switch but at a cost and not worth it as the fob is easy to use.
@@Cybot7 thanks Toby
Can you get the same sound by just deleting the big muffler and run straight pipes from the cats back? I know you won't have the valve to switch back and forth for the stock sound because the muffler will be deleted but you would have the same sound correct?
Pretty much yes
I have just installed mine today..... advice..... I spent 4 hours installingrs trying to find out why it was not working.... in the end was simple because the central black box was not properly connected................... 2 hours to get it..... so, double check the connector before installing it.... my 2 cents...............
I bought a car from these people. The day I collected the handbrake pad retaining springs broke. They couldn't fix it so I drove away in a car with no handbrake. They sent me the parts and I paid a local guy to fit them. He told me the brakes were in a terrible state but in fairness LaRose sent me new pads and discs all round. I did the rears but there was a delay fitting the fronts. When I finally came to fit the fronts I realised they were the wrong ones. I told them but they refuse to change them. So if you want a Porsche with dodgy brakes and like abysmal customer service these guys are the place to go
