- Walk with us through a Funchal Lido supermarket. This Pingo Doce supermarket is on Estrada Monumental in Funchal next to the Florasol Dorisol hotel. And there is a larger one a few minutes away beneath the the Eden Mar Hotel.
Pingo Doce Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 8am-10pm.
It is one of the largest Portuguese-owned supermarkets and there are many throughout Madeira.
So if you want to know what a supermarket in Funchal looks like, or the food cost in Funchal Madeira I hope you will find this helpful?
Pingo Doce also has a restaurant and a Funchal Lido takeaway service too.
The Madeira wine is also cheap here. The pastel de natas and bolo de caco were surprisingly good here!

Very helpful video . Did you try the Pingo Dolce near the Farmer's Market ? Great down-to-earth restaurant . Meal and drink for about 6-- 7 Euros . There are some splendid Pingos in Lisbon , too. The one I visited in Porto didn't have a restaurant . Does anyone have any further info regarding Pingos with restaurants ?

We stayed near La Vie so used to go to the pingo dice there. We really loved the restaurant where the food is so reasonably priced and really good. The great thing is you can eat as little or as much as you like as they weigh your plate. Every day had something different.
