I have a little sister just like you and honestly, you guys need your own space and life.. even in both of your vlogs you can see that you’re like ‘the same’
she's also allowed to live her life in a way that makes her happy, and if she is happy and doing well for herself then living her life the way she is now is 100% okay, she doesn't need to follow the same path a large portion of society does, or else she's just "following" other people too, so it really does not matter.
If you are financially privileged enough to buy a house, then you definitely should. It’s such a better investment and makes you feel that bit more secure because your living situation isn’t in a landlords hands

If Emma’s already paying rent somewhere I would ask my sister if she wanted to move in with me if I bought a house. Think of it this way whatever you’re paying for on your mortgage already, you can have your roommate pay YOU rent to add to your payment on your mortgage. You have a minimum you must pay, there are no rules about paying MORE each month and paying your house off early. These are two girls that had their lives flipped on them when they weren’t living together. They are probably the one thing in their lives since this that has been balanced. If you buying house you need check basements if water in basement. Make sure no crack basement other then that good luck! When buying house put camera outside. Put alarm system in the house. Take your time buying house.

Just want to say that if you're in the spot to buy, you should buy. Ownership and having equity in a home is so much better than renting. Worst come to worst it can be an investment property and you can continue to rent in the city. Buying a home is such a smart investment!!!
Hi Maggie! Don’t forget about the additional responsibilities that come with home ownership...landscaping, appliance maintenance, repairs, insurance, etc. I would consider all of these costs when you are comparing apartments and houses.

I’m a couple years older than you and this is something I keep reminding myself of as well-to enjoy the Journey to the destination. My mind gets restless in planning how I need to get to the next goal and the next phase In life. Well, Life changes in ways you don’t expect in your 20s. Boston-& city life in general- is more expensive than say the suburbs but that’s the trade off for living in the middle of the action if that’s what you like. When it’s time to settle down and “adult” more, you’ll know! Good luck with everything

Rent is just money towards a place you don’t own and will never get back. Whereas paying a mortgage will eventually build equity, so if Maggie decides to sell the house she’ll actually make money back depending on the real estate market
A house is a great investment especially at your age! It’s just all about making the right choices financially. You and Tyler could definitely make it work but don’t feel like you need to buy your DREAM home at the moment if you’re worried about the finances. Emma has her own apartment and I think she might need her own space and time apart unless of course, she wants to move in as well. Whatever you and Tyler decide, I’m sure you’ll be okay! :-)
