  • I was still having problems with the Audio (DJI mic) during parts of the Video so apologies for that.....Episode 3 highlights our second ride out where we visited the Vrsic Pass and then attempted to go up to the Mangart Saddle... unfortunately we encountered a bit of a problem when we reached the Mangart Pass as the authorities (or some entrepreneur) decided to install a barrier and pay system which only allowed a controlled number of vehicles through onto the saddle at any one time....as there were 6 of us we all could not get through together and as it was taking sometime for each vehicle to proceed only when one comes off the saddle we decided it was logistically unrealistic to wait most of the day until we all could meet at the top....I would therefore suggest if you want to see the spectacular view at the saddle then an early start is essential... our journeys itinerary so far has been as follows ... Day's 1 to 5 reflects on our journey down through Holland, Germany & Austria into Slovenia, Stopping on our way, 1 night in Hosbach just past Frankfurt, then the following day onto Bad-Reichenhall for 2 nights which included visits to the Eagles nest and Hitlers House the Berghof. the following day we travelled through Austria and across the Alps down into Slovenia where we spent the following 7 nights before heading back up through Europe stopping off at Dachau concentration camp and then Koblenz on the way to get the ferry back home across the North Sea.
    There was 6 in our group. 2 x BMW S1000XR, 1 x Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro, 1 x BMW F900 XR, 1 x Kawasaki Z1000 XS and a Suzuki 1000 GT.
