Slovenia 2023 Motorcycle Tour Episode 5

Episode 5 highlights our final few days on our journey back over the Alps, stopping off at Dachau near Munich for a couple of nights visiting the former Nazi concentration camp and then up to Koblenz for a whistle stop tour of that city before heading back to Ijmuiden to catch the overnight ferry back to Newcastle...There was 6 in our group. 2 x BMW S1000XR, 1 x Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro, 1 x BMW F900 XR, 1 x Kawasaki Z1000 XS and a Suzuki 1000 GT.

I did Grossglockner on a tour in early August last year. You guys were really lucky with the weather, as when we did it the weather was bloody awful! No one even considered going up to bikers viewpoint, the visability was that bad that the clouds were actually inside the tunnels 😦. Coming down I was doing about 5/10 mph with all my indicators on! Really scary and, a total waste of money. We bikers much be daft😃🏍.

We had intended going across the Pass on our way down from Austria to Slovenia but changed our plans as the weather was awful....we did the pass on our return a week or so later and as you say, we were very lucky with the weather.
