  • World juniors 2024 are well underway and while most watched the canada vs sweden game or highlights , this usa vs czechia matchup was great. Like and subscribe to let me know you want more wjc highlights and content. This isaac howard shootout goal celebration was something else lol and it wasn't the first time we've seen this type of stuff from him. Stay tuned for nhl highlights today , news and rumors , reactions and rankings but also some 2023 24 world juniors highlights including canada sweden and team usa like this. Channel is mostly nhl hockey focused, but I absolutely love when I get to cover the wjc

Love the personality, you can tell this guy isn’t actually like an annoying super cocky pain in the neck, he’s just having a blast, he doesn’t take it to far and it’s super funny. And if anyone thinks it’s stupid there probably just people who get mad at every little thing

People will say stuff like this shows immaturity, but I think that joking and not being too stiff is desirable and a pretty mature approach. Younger players can have a lot of pressure on them so if they take everything super serious all the time that pressure can affect their performance. While there are exceptions I'd say usually guys who make a joke like "I'm the best looking guy here" are the ones aware of what it implies and are obviously playing it off as a joke. It's a huge difference compared to just saying it not as joke at all.

I defs wish there was a little more of this in the NHL .. Still my favourite quote of the year was when Evander Kane was asked about giving body shots to Kolesar after he jumped a guy from behind and his response ended with "when you wanna f?ck around, sometimes you gotta find out" .. Obviously I'm way more of a Kane fan and his personality with him on my home team, but I have to give it up to guys who'll stir stuff up instead of giving the same, bland normal hockey answers to every question

Americans took almost 60+ years to catch up to the quality of Canadian players. It took them years of recruiting Canadian coaches to work in the USA, years of parents sending their kids to play in Canada, and have a population of over 335 million people population to pick players from. No reason to be cocky, because Canada helped you get where you are today. Nothing makes me more sick than American arrogance. (I won't go into how Canada's invention of lacrosse helped)

Sour Canadian tears are delectable! Ironically, it's Canadians like you that are arrogant! I'm surprised you didn't say, "It's our game", or something. The Brits invented football, the world's most popular sport. You don't hear them blathering on about other countries owing them something, do you? By your logic, the Brazilians, French, Italians, Argentines, and Germans should all be thanking the Brits every waking moment for all their World Cup success. The U.S., like every other hockey playing nation on earth, owes Canada NOTHING! Hockey belongs to everyone and each country became good in their own unique way.
Allow me to hold a mirror up so you can see yourself for a moment. You, like so many other Canadians, have an inferiority complex. You cling to hockey like a petulant two year-old that doesn't want to share a toy...mine, mine, mine. How very childish. Hockey is the one thing Canadians are really good at. As a result, your sense of national self-worth depends on how well your hockey team does. Even the slightest bit of American success in hockey drives you all bonkers. Your fragile Canadian egos just can't handle it. The only way for you to make yourself feel good inside is by belittling USA hockey, as you have just done. Grow up!
The U.S. is catching up to Canada in hockey very very fast. It's only a matter of time and you know it...tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. Truth hurts sometimes.

Isaac Howard stole the show today without a doubt. Definitely lived up to his nickname, The Iceman, with that goal in the shootout. But, I have to say Juri Kulich’s shot has been one of the most impressive things I’ve seen in the World Juniors so far. That kid can absolutely rip it. I think Buffalo has another sniper on their hands

Funny you mention the screaming lady. I thought it was my baby daughter crying at first and kept looking over to her just sitting there playing lol

Snug makes me hopeful for the future, even in light of that appalling Krug contract

I understand I am old school on this, but I believe part of what makes hockey a great sport is the humbleness displayed by all players. Not a fan of all these showmanship attitudes. You want respect and people to think you're great? Let your play speak for itself while the clock is running.

I remember growing out of my shell in high school and my buddies on my hockey team really loved it when I said and did stuff like this. Obviously didn’t mean a word of it and just having fun. Completely harmless. I don’t know if I’d do it at the draft or word juniors lol but props to this young man for enjoying life
