Why do you release an EP instead of a whole album?

Kleiner Tipp: Das Video muss unter 60 Sekunden sein, damit es als shorts markiert wird xD

Literally the same reason why I released a few songs before the full album release

Here’s the real reason, if you break down an album into singles and then ep’s it maximises the amount of people who are going to listen to it each step knowing most of it will be the same. Saaaaaay idk Bad Omens were gonna drop an album in a year, we’d get about 3 singles and with each step of the singles they’d be put onto an ep with the other released singles, this builds hype, then eventually after another 6 months and probably another single, we’d have the album, which either way the band knows that we’re gonna listen to the singles from the album as much as the rest of the album, so it’s just a good way to generate more eyes on your product. And in another way, maximise the bag you’d get from monthly listeners etc. it’s a smart play. Music industry is funny.
