Hi Ahmed, choosing to use a lawyer or not is really up to each one of us. It depends on your case, your financial status (attorneys are expensive) and if you think you can do it alone or not. I did it all by myself, and other people hire a lawyer. There is no right or wrong here, it's a personal choice! You're welcome. We actually discuss that in the video . He cannot file AOS until the date becomes current . His risk is his visa expires before that happens . He should discuss his options with his lawyers, but one thing he can try is to request an extension

That's for people that came under a nonimmigrant visa. You can Google 90 day rule
And it's 90 days since they came into the united states, not since approval
