It also helps that he also wrote this song because, as he said in another podcast, when you write your own song and record it (versus interpreting a song written by someone else), that in itself is your signature/autograph regardless if that sone becomes a commercial hit or not. Spoken like a true artist indeed! You were right in saying that Gary is (has been) doing well in his career. He is a veteran in the OPM industry with a career that spans 40 years now. He has performed here in the US and all over the world, mostly to Filipino crowds. He did guest and perform a number of times for the 700 Club and other Christian based groups here in the US as well. There was a time back in the late 80s to mid-90s when he worked with a Christian music producer for a potential career here in the US but we didn't know what happened behind the scenes back then. But even though that didn't pan out, his career in the Philippines continued to soar and he is now one of the legitimate icons in OPM. Hope to see more of him in your reaction videos. Gary V is an inspirational talent and it took him time to be known to be honest. But when he did, oh wow. He can sing, he's also a wonderful dancer and a gifted composer. He's also a true Christian and he expresses it in the songs that he wrote. This song was released in the early 90's and was re-released during the pandemic when the world was in darkness. Would you believe he's 58 yeard old? He's battled diabetes all his life, had a bypass operation, learned he has kidney cancer,survived kidney cancer and he has been sustained by his faith.
