Searching for autumn in Gion, Kyoto - wandering, temples, trees, cats VLOG

- We spent the afternoon walking around one of the famous preserved parts of Kyoto - Gion. This is the second part of our day, in the morning we went to Fushimi Inari. We were on the hunt for autumn foliage. In the cities, the Japanese maples had only started to turn when we were visiting. The cherries and ginkgos were amazing though!

5. Gyobashi bridge
6. Tatsumi Jinja
7. PuchiMarry - Cat cafe
8. Kura Sushi Teramachi
Rest assured for those visiting in autumn. Even if some trees might not be perfect, other species are likely popping off!
Also, if you venture into the mountains, their foliage change time seems to be about a week before the cities.

Just love your videos. I spent a week in Tokyo and Osaka back in 2019 and was hooked. Covid destroyed plans to come back and really explore this fascinating country. Keep up the wonderful videos, especially of the cats.

I've been enjoying your videos since I found it a few weeks ago. The color of old temples / shrines and the autumn leaves of the trees are very impressive in your video.
If you have a chance, please try a Shikoku 88 pilgrimage ( 四国88か所巡礼 , お遍路 : ohenro ) and take a video what you'll think along the way.
There is words " DOUGYO-NININ (同行二人) " which means "Kobo Daishi is always with me during the pilgrimage" .
I wonder if you'll agree with this words or not. 🥀☺🥀

Haha yeah the slippers were a nightmare! It was very peaceful. I really wasn't expecting the temple to be that nice and calm! Everyone was moving very slowly and quietly so I didn't feel rushed at all. A lot of nice places to sit with a view.
What month was this taken? Planning to go this December.
