I’m from Philly and this looks AMAZING!!! 🥰😍. Note: an authentic Philly cheesesteak does not have peppers (cheese & onions only) but I think in this recipe it would add so much flavor!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I am also originally from Philly. I think people have an opinion of what a Philly cheesesteak is, but it usually isn't that. Also, Pat's and Geno's suck!
I thought cheese steaks had the grilled/sauteed onions and mushrooms with provolone cheese. What are the original authentic Philly Cheesesteak ingredients? Not that it matters a whole lot, everyone enjoys their own dishes. Thanks
Peppers really do add more flavor...onions...Vidalia sweet onions better than ANY!

Well Catherine, you have outdone yourself here. My entire family LOVED this meatloaf. My husband and his father kept saying they couldn't believe how good the 'stuffing' was inside the meatloaf. Wish I'd seen this last week, just found you. But I used deli chopped roast beef for my Cheesesteak a couple days ago and just made a meatloaf yesterday so this would have been great to satisfy both cravings at once. Gonna try this for sure, I'll need to add some mushrooms.

I made this 2 nights ago for dinner. It was really good. We're "low carbing" at my house currently, and this fit the bill. I'm thinking a "mushroom swiss burger" version would be great, too. That'd be low carb as well. *Sorry to say, I overworked the mixing process-even though you warned us not to! Next time, I'll be sure to be extra careful, so it turns out as tender as my other meat loaf recipes. It was still tasty, though! Thanks for another great recipe.

I wonder how...adding steak sauce to a meatloaf mix would go? I add it to individual bowls of chili and it makes the chili taste even more flavorful!

People seem so afraid to add salt to a dish. Salt brings out the flavor. I would add way more salt and pepper plus way more garlic powder. I guarantee you won't taste that garlic powder. But it looks good!
