Exactly! Talos never even killed a dragon but he is a revered demigod! How come the dragonborn isn't straight up worshipped?? Heck! Even the grand champion got at least a statue!
Shouldn’t you use the Mage Stone at the beginning to level up Illusion faster? After all, extra experience doesn’t actually help you when getting Smithing levels with this method.
If you don’t want to read the black book, you can do the “discerning the transmundane” quest and get the Oghma Infinium which will let you increase all warrior skills by 5 (or thief or mage)
My method has always been to make jewelry and dwarven bows. Jewelry grant lots of XP due to their price and dwarven bows are most cost effective. Provided you have plenty of material, you can quickly power level smithing. Having access to the Transmute spell and Eorlund for training/trading definitely helps.
And if you don't have iron, make a crap-ton of dwarven arrows since wood is free so long as you have a chopping block and axe, and dwarven metal is as common as all get-out.
There's a less time-consuming method to get to Eorlund's chest if you don't wanna run around Whiterun. If you have the Whirlwind Sprint shout, you can take a bowl from behind Jorvaskr, hold it up to the wall just behind the bullseye targets, and use Whirlwind Sprint to shout your way through the wall. Just walk around the boulders and jump in where Wizard showed, and the rest is the same. What I do to supplement, however, is I take materials from the chest as well, and once I've done all I can with Eorlund, training wise, I use those materials to make as many high tier weapons as I can.
@@v0780 yes, since you're using eorland as a trainer, the buff for faster skill leveling doesnt matter. Using the mage stone makes sense for faster leveling with muffle.
@@connerdavenport7282 Oof! That makes so much sense. -_(\ That said, I usually do the "Transmute > Gold Rings > Enchant > Sell" loop (as well as "Farming > Potions > Sell" at a Hearthfire compatible player home) for my money and leveling needs. Maybe mix it up by doing a loop of different trainers so that I've leveled up by the time I return to the first one.
4:02, When he is on the grinding wheel, if you empty the chest then stand underneath you can talk to him (you need flames for this bit but it won't level your destruction), after speaking to him and seeing what he has for sale now quicksave the game, hit him with the flames then load the game it will refill the chest instead of waiting 48 hours, as long as he is sat at the grinding wheel you can repeat this method which is alot faster than waiting 48 hours.
One of the best "15 to 100 smithing" guides out there, specially because you will unlock other useful stuff not related to smithing like the secret of arcana for example, ty for the quality content :D PD: if you are a high level like me, the muffle method will work, but quite slowly
I always save all of the iron, silver and gold ores along with all of the garnets and diamonds i collect on my quests. I use the transmute spell to produce silver or gold accordingly; making sure to use all of my precious stones. Then i make a ton of expensive jewelry and enchant every piece; keeping a few select pieces for myself. Then i sell them all and make mad septims.
Just a friendly piece of advice. Don't fast forward the part where you do the glitch. I've spent 30 minutes just trying to figure out where the hell you went.
There is another way to to that method. Go the the entrance of Whiterun (as if you were exiting), go to the first room on the left, and use the barrel to jump out of the area. Might take a few tries. Then you follow the buildings till you get near Dragonsreach, and see a patch of invisible ground in a triangle shape. You then follow what he did, and that's done
Quite possibly tbh, but once you have the ‘tentacle boy’s book’ (which shouldn’t take long if you opt for no combat), it’s just a case of reading the Smithing skill books, which is fairly quick in itself 📚💨
For smithing I always make the first quest for the ring of pure mixtures in dawnstar. During this quest theres x2 gold bars on a table. Just before the 3 fire traps. After the quest I grab the first follower from whiterun duplicate the bars till I got 600. Warrior stone, sleep at the inn the craft the gold bars into gold rings, 1 bar = 2 rings. Fastest xp for smithing. Whole process takes about an hour. Not to bad. Only if you don't mind Exploits! Then the rings you can use to enchant again to boost enchant to 100 but first switch stone to mage and make sure well rested I'd active. 👍
That's pretty neat, I like the idea! I've actually got one or two tutorials on how to duplicate items, but judging by the comments in those videos, have come to realise that it doesn't work for everyone unfortunately :/ may well have implemented the duplication glitch otherwise (not writing it off for future vids though) :) - nevertheless, still a super quick way of levelling Smithing when works! Thanks for sharing :) 👍
@@theWelshWizard yeah I mean first playthrough of any game I always say never use Exploits. Try beat the game yourself. If a game has difficulties I also try to beat the hardest difficulty too. Then once I've beat the game and want to replay a certain way then I feel there's nothing wrong in using quick leveling methods to enjoy a build as early as possible! Everyone has an opinion. Quality videos anyways 👍 thanks for the reply.
@@wildhogs2849 yeah! Did that. But I found its hard to beat some quests at adept level let alone legendary. I think the alchemy level up with the health restoration potion of 500,000% stronger will work with smith also. Just drink one and make 200 daggers in 60 seconds.
@@ScreamingReel500 just made a fortify enchanting, creat some gear with 100000% smithing. With this you just need to temper few items and you will be 100.
With the chest glitch using Eorland, I upgraded much faster by taking the contents of the entire chest, hopping up (I couldn't run because of my carry weight) to Eorlund, selling him his own goods till he had no money. This increases your Speech, which will help gain you more levels faster than just spamming Muffle.
Is there a way to get back your gold that paid for training? Training gets pretty pricey after a while, far more than the gold he gets when he restocks and that gold doesn't seem to transfer to the chest even tho it shows he has it. Do you just need to wait 48hr over and over, getting it back 1100 a time?
Step 1- get a bunch of iron ingots (around 40 is a good number) Step 2- make lockpicks at the forge with those iron ingots Step 3- go to the smelter and make iron ingots with the lockpicks Step 4- repeat Step 2 and 3
I just did this but level up to 90 and from there I had so much materials from chest that I crafted my way to level 99 and read that book from sky forge to level to 100
Can't you just drop all your gold just inside Whiterun, have your companion pick it all up then fast travel to the outside of the gates to make unlimited gold bars? Then just make thousands of sets of gold jewelry? Actually might work better with arrow materials since arrows have no weight
The duplication glitch unfortunately doesn’t work for everyone, and I’ve never quite figured out why 😕 would’ve added it in the vid otherwise, as it is indeed super quick to get Smithing to 100 that way!
I just gone one hour hunting every animal. Made over 360 leather helmets (smithing increases linked to hoe valuable the item is that you create) making me lvl 80 in smithing. Its maybe even more fun to do lol
You can just make diamond necklaces with the duplication glitch for the last 10 lvls and save a ton of time. You can find a perfect diamond in the boat near the kolsger mine And a gold bar from the mine Takes about 30 minutes for the last 10 lvls
I'm starting to notice a pattern to these, -trainer that can get up to 90 -muffle for leveling up to reset training counter - go to black book for double level with books -get 5 books for the last 10 levels
No!!!!! Get 2 goldbars, go to weiterun, search a open spot near the entrance. Get a companion who can pick ups things, drop the 2 Goldbars (EVER ONLY 1 PIECE) and let them pick them up. THEY HAVE TO WAIT ON SPOT! Go out Whiterun and immediately in again. Then pick up the gold bars on the floor, talk to your companion, and take the goldbars out of their inventory, so you got from 2 goldbars to 3-4. do this Tim you get 1000. go to blacksmith and craft gold rings. Till you get to level 100. then you can sell those in a store and get ADDITIONALY 75.000 septime!! If you do it til legendary 5 you get 375.000 septime! One time lvl 100 leveling takes about 1 hour
The duplication method can be pretty quick too actually, my video here will show you a faster method of duplicating: ruclips.net/video/bz5UasREyrg/видео.html Unfortunately though, it doesn't work for everyone and can be a bit temperamental. Thanks for the comment :)
I personally prefer the iron dagger way, buy iron bars, quicksave, punch trader, reload till you are out of money then start smithing these bad boys, of course in addition you can first do the 5 levels in smithing at the trainer then fill the rest up with the iron dagger training instead of the muffle, you can also steal your training money back to train another skill tree
If you capitalize on his inventory reset you can duplicate the amount of smithing supplies he has and use that to level from 90 - 100. Or near abouts, then anything you make can just be sold back to him plus you can also take advantage of another inventory reset bug by selling what you can, quicksaving, hitting him, then loading the quick save, rinse and repeat!
@@theWelshWizard not unofficial anymore on console you might get teleported as if you go into a mine but just gets stuck in a loading screen. But you can go around the spot you get stuck at
There are two other paths I know of, I don't think either are barriered with the patch? One needs level 2 of whirlwind sprint, the other you need about 240 hp or the fall damage will kill you
The fastest way to level Speech and Smithing in the game, is to use the restoration potion glitch and create a potion with about 6,000+ % on stronger Enchantments. Once that's done, enchant a piece of gear with Fortify Smithing and use it to improve a piece of armor or weapon. The gear should be upgraded to such a state that you instantly get maxed out Smithing skill. You can then sell the improved piece for millions of gold to instantly max out Speech! Also, if you enchant a piece of gear with Fortify Alchemy in this manner, your potions will be so powerful, that you can max out the skill after just a couple brews!
The Restoration loop sure is OP, but obtaining all the ingredients, armor etc necessary for the exploit can take some time. Once you are ready to go, you'll be a god in no time!
Yeah I was surprised he didn't mention that you can take his stock and continuously resale it... Unfortunately I started this process at like level 25 so it's taking a rather long time leveling up thru casting muffle but at least now I'm increasing my speech also
I came across 2 diamonds and and gold bars. Along with the duplication glitch u can craft diamond rings for leveling. I couldn't access the armorer when i jumped so the deed must be done.
Personally I prefer to get either alchemy or enchanting to a fairly high level all while stocking up on dwarven metals with my follower. Create smithing gear and potions then make dwarven bows and upgrading them to what should be about legendary level. Takes longer, but it doesn't abuse exploits
Is this really faster than just abusing fortify restoration plus fortify smithing enchant. I got to lvl 100 smithing instantly with that method by crafting a single peice of iron armour worth a million gold. I guess this way at least doesnt require the fortify smithing enchant, but that is easy enough to come by. Plus selling the armour also gets you 100 speech instantly.
Fortify restoration is insanely quick once you have all the necessary ingredients, enchantments and gear, but it can take some time to obtain these items. If you're coming straight from Helgen, I'd like to say my method's quicker, but if you have all the above at your disposal, has to be the ole' restoration loop 😎
1: First recruit a follower, acquire a fortify smithing trinket, drop it, get the follower to pick it up, fast travel to the local fast travel point, then have your follower pick up the copy of the fortif smithing trinket that's just spawned in. Repeat 100 times. 2: Aquire a fortify restoration potion. Duplicate 3 times using the same process as used for the fortify smithing trinket. 3: equip a fortify smithing trinket and stash the rest in an easily accessible container near the whiterun prison. 4: allow yourself to be caught pickpocketing by a guard and be arrested. 5: escape prison, equip another trinket, approach a guard and allow them to arrest you. 6: repeat untill you're out of trinkets. 7: do your time in prison, so you're legitimately released. You should now have all of your smiting trinkets equipped simultaniously 8: aquire 5 iron daggers and and 5 iron ingots 9: aproach a grind stone, down all of your fortify restoration potions and quickly sharpon your dagger. 10. You are now level 100 smithing. Dont assign any perks but instead reset smithing to base by assigning it as a legendary skill 11. Quickly Sharpon a second dagger, and set smithing as legendary 2 12. Repeat upto legendary level 5. 13. Select all smithing perks. You have now truely maxed out smithing 14. Sell a sharpened dagger. (Note: It doesn't matter how much you trade it for) 15. You now have 100% speech, instead of asigning perks set the speech skill to legendary 16: sell a second dagger and set speech to legendary 2 17: Repeat untill legendary 5 18: Assign all speech perks. 19: You now have all the skills you need to work as a successful blacksmith.
It’s not as quick, but less cheaty, train pickpocket from the unseen beggar woman in windhelm, pickpocket her, level up your pickpocket three times and then pick pocketing gold is pretty much 90% guaranteed to work. So you can train once, pickpocket them etc.
tip if you don't want to go to solstheim, go septimus signus's outpost north of the college of winterhold and take hermaeus mora's daedric quest "discerning the transmundane" and complete it and read the oghma infinium, choose the path of might which will increase smithing by 5 levels. after you're done that read the other 5 skill books theWelshWizard features in this video. P.S. if you can't find septimus signus's outpost about halfway thought the you will be given the quest Elder Knowledge where you will be sent to the college of winterhold to find the location of the elder scroll after you speak to urag gro-shub he will give you the location of septimus signus's outpost
I'm kind of making a barbarian build, basically a female version of Guts, and I happen to like gaint swords. I already have the stuff to make a dragon bone greatsword, and need to level my smithing up to 100.
It's this exploits that makes elder scrolls unique and we have lots of fun trying them But also enjoy a truly gameplay like they intended(specially with survival mode on) BTW awesome content that you presenting us
Glad I saw this vid now, if not I would've continued crafting 1000 gold rings thank god I just started tryna get that daedric bow forging it with me own 2 hands
No problem, glad I could help! :) I personally wouldn’t recommend it for your first couple of play throughs as it will take the fun of levelling up away, but you can always save the video for future watching when you feel you’re ready to use it 🏹
@@aidenirvin6776 you can use the method in the video where you pay Eorland to level up x5 at every character level, but try not to use Muffle or the gold exploit. It’s best to level up your character and obtain gold naturally by playing the game - more effort = more reward 👍💯
I can’t even speak to Kodlack, the moment I entered Whiterun (at like level 4) they got attacked and Kodlack was dead. I became Harbinger at like level 5 after completing the final quest and now I can’t be trained by anyone in the companions since I happened to skip the whole quest line
If I am doing a normal playthrough, I create a bunch of dwarven bows, if I am using exploits, I create ultra powerful smiting gear and upgrade a singer thing to instantly get to smiting 100
This is definitely the quickest way to level up once you have all the necessary ingredients/materials etc at the ready, but coming straight out of Helgen, I think Eorland might sneak first place 🥇
quick saving smacking a shop keeper and reloading will leave him agroed a second into the load which then disipates leaving his inventory refreshed.. no waiting 48 hours nessesary
I mostly just use the paralysis enchantment so I can paralyze whoever is teaching me smithing so I can infinitely upgrade smithing to 100 like if you agree
If you don't feel like going to Solstheim (and there are plenty of big, annoying, fire-breathing reasons to not want to fulfill the requirements to go to Solstheim), you can of course swipe all the raw materials he stocks at the same time as the gold.
You can also steal or buy or mine as much iron ore as possible and find the transmute spell to turn it all into gold so you can make gold rings and or necklaces which you can also sell to the court mage for a fair amount
The fastest way is to do the restoration glitch and then enchant your armor with 1 million smithing % and make anything at the forge and it will instantly jump to 100
Another quick way to get smithing up, get the transmute spell early on and buy tons of iron ore or go to a couple of caves then turn it all into gold ore and then smelt it make it into valuable jewelry, and having any precious gems or stones to put on the ring will increase the rate of which you level up smithing and then from there you can enchant your gold rings so you can increase both
My go to plan for max smithing, is to get to Smithing 30, usually by making iron daggers or arrows, jewelry is also helpful. Once 30, get dwarven smithing, and go to markarth. Take as much dwarven metal from understone keep as you can, and melt it all down to ingots. Then proceed to make a crap ton of bows. I keep doing this until I get ebony smithing, and make ebony equipment, which should get you pretty close to 100 in a short time Crafting items with higher values give more experience. This applies to Alchemy and Enchanting too
That's a good method! Transmuting iron ore is also a pretty quick way of doing it - can turn them into gold ores, then ingot and then use those to make gold rings
I use the Dawnstar chest to level up on enchanting, alchemy, smithing and speechcraft. The trick is to take everything in the chest - each time you replenish - then use all the items to enchant, mix potions, make armour and sell the unwanted crap. That's what I do on X-Box. On PC I have a ring that I modded to make me hard to kill with the ability to kill after two or three swings. I never did like the millions of strikes to scratch an enemy nonsense. The ring allows me to level up with my enemies too - but it does get a little harder to kill me. I may change the death scream of Alduin to the chicken squawk someday. Nah.
Back on the 360, i used to do iron daggers to 50, leather bracers until i got ebony smithing, then ebony daggers until deadric. By the time i gad crafted and improved all of my daedric gear i was at 100
Nice video I’ll be using this but I do have a question when I train with him it says 5/5 train I’m currently smithing 49 by the way I think I’m just dumb but how did you get him to train with you again?
I made a few hundred iron daggers, stepped the levels and paid for the training also. That was fast enough without exploiting. You just needed to travel around the cities, buy all the iron and leather strips.
Daggers are the good old fallback. If I recall, the xp gained has something to do with the gold value of the item, so I tend to go for armor sets anymore. Between a fistful of steel armor sets and building my house in Hearthfire, I can usually at least reach dwarven armor. Once I'm at that point, I can raid eorlunds chest when I run out of materials, and it's a fairly quick climb to 100.

Your the reason I’m a car and not a cat
My method has always been to make jewelry and dwarven bows. Jewelry grant lots of XP due to their price and dwarven bows are most cost effective. Provided you have plenty of material, you can quickly power level smithing. Having access to the Transmute spell and Eorlund for training/trading definitely helps.
Yes! Dwarven bows! I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes advantage of them. Excellent smithing power leveling.
I have a quick correction: You will want to activate the mage stone, as that will level you up quicker.
Really?

I am still trying to find it
Light armor forging is also found in Embershard Mine right near the Guardian Stones
Would it be easier to get ten levels by normal smithing from stealing his ingots after training as opposed to dealing with the tentacle boy's books?

@@theWelshWizard yeah I mean first playthrough of any game I always say never use Exploits. Try beat the game yourself. If a game has difficulties I also try to beat the hardest difficulty too. @@wildhogs2849 yeah! Did that. But I found its hard to beat some quests at adept level let alone legendary. I think the alchemy level up with the health restoration potion of 500,000% stronger will work with smith also. Just drink one and make 200 daggers in 60 seconds.

With the chest glitch using Eorland, I upgraded much faster by taking the contents of the entire chest, hopping up (I couldn't run because of my carry weight) to Eorlund, selling him his own goods till he had no money. Takes about 30 minutes for the last 10 lvls
Level smithing easy.
Makes leveling smithing hard.
I'm starting to notice a pattern to these,
-trainer that can get up to 90
-muffle for leveling up to reset training counter
- go to black book for double level with books
-get 5 books for the last 10 levels

When I reach smithing level 100 I'm going to craft Dragon plate armor
The spell doesnt seem to do much for me
The fastest way to level Speech and Smithing in the game, is to use the restoration potion glitch and create a potion with about 6,000+ % on stronger Enchantments.
Question: what else do you do to quickly level up when you max out the illusion level and you're still in the 60+ levels of smithing?
Just legendary reset your Illusion skill like you're supposed to do. Like, what?
Thanks for the guide. As I did this I would take his entire stock, sell it to him, then take it again. Got my training gold back plus I leveled speech
No problem man, glad it helped!
The most efficient thing to Smith to level up sitting is actually gold rings
I just make lots of gold ring, with transmutation and alot of iron ore.

You should now have all of your smiting trinkets equipped simultaniously
8: aquire 5 iron daggers and and 5 iron ingots
9: aproach a grind stone, down all of your fortify restoration potions and quickly sharpon your dagger.
10. You are now level 100 smithing. Dont assign any perks but instead reset smithing to base by assigning it as a legendary skill
11. Quickly Sharpon a second dagger, and set smithing as legendary 2
12. Repeat upto legendary level 5.
13. Select all smithing perks. You have now truely maxed out smithing
14. Sell a sharpened dagger. (Note: It doesn't matter how much you trade it for)
15. You now have 100% speech, instead of asigning perks set the speech skill to legendary
16: sell a second dagger and set speech to legendary 2
17: Repeat untill legendary 5
18: Assign all speech perks.
19: You now have all the skills you need to work as a successful blacksmith.

I keep doing this until I get ebony smithing, and make ebony equipment, which should get you pretty close to 100 in a short time
Crafting items with higher values give more experience. This applies to Alchemy and Enchanting too
That's a good method! Transmuting iron ore is also a pretty quick way of doing it - can turn them into gold ores, then ingot and then use those to make gold rings

The trick is to take everything in the chest - each time you replenish - then use all the items to enchant, mix potions, make armour and sell the unwanted crap.

@@theWelshWizard just did it thanks so much
I made a few hundred iron daggers, stepped the levels and paid for the training also.
