I believe that instead of White Diamond showing up to the meeting in the throne room, White Pearl goes in her stead as a messenger, and is sitting on her chair when she begins to frown based on the background. The only reason I can see this happening is because I see White Pearl as more of an extension to White Diamond, and not just a separate entity like the other pearls.

so interesting thing to note and look back on when regarding pink's image of herself as a child/baby. in one of the spin off mini episodes where the gems are explaining things, they talk about how gems are made, and it sems from their reaction to steven asking "were you ever babies" that gems CAN BE and do grow up, but to be more efficient and skip that process even more life energy (and can we just call this green eco xD) so that they come out already grown up. which means gems do infact age in some manner. they dont die of old age, nor do they actually get old (unless thats what white is?!) but they do grow, or at least the light manefestation created by their gem develops more and more and allows for a greater size over time, or maybe not even just allow, it causes them to get bigger and bigger, but it takes a rediculously long time to happen. thats why we see pink in various sizes. here as a baby, in steven's memory as the same size as stephani, and in pearl's memory as a significantly taller gem then she was as Rose. Pink might have been so special to the other daimonds that they didnt want to skip the process, treated her growth with respect, and so rather then just being born matured, she was legitimately a bratty child.
