Hello from central Ohio. I just discovered your RUclips channel and Instagram feed this evening. I have a ‘22 Ridgeline and I have been shopping for a ‘24 4Runner, but about a week ago I saw a Pilot Trailsport in a parking lot here and really like the look. I’ve done a lot of research and watched many videos about the vehicle since then, including a couple of yours this evening, and and it seems quite capable. With your family of 5 and all of your gear, I am just curious what the payload limit is of the Pilot Trailsport? Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you.
Hey Matt. Thanks for following and the support. I can't think of the exact number of the payload at the moment, however, I have loaded it with a lot of weight on separate occasions. There is a bit of a drop on the rear but not a whole lot. I have seen some 4runners and Tacoma with a trailer and it also drops the rear. It all depends on how much "off roading" you will be doing and how much space you need in the interior.
I went with Inspired Rtt because of it's lightweight and quick deployment. Thus far it's been good. They have a new one that is made of carbon fiber and it's a hard shell, just as light. If you are looking for something simple and lightweight, I'd def recommend this.
Not bad for what is essentially a 3rd row soccer mom crossover. We just picked up a '25 Black Edition in the same color, Sonic Grey Pearl. I really wanted a Trailsport but the Wife didn't want to give up those additional tech/interior features that came on the Black Edition.
Indeed it would. I have the 1.5 inch lift installed. And shortly after they came out with the 2.5inch. I currently can't afford to switch the kit right now.
Any chance you can make a quick video on how you installed the fog lights 😅 , more than a few of us would appreciate it. I’m still sitting on the eBay package i bought scratching my head 😑..
Keep making videos brother they’re great

@@BFAAdventures thank you! Great points.
How do you like the Inspired RTT? Would you recommend it?

Add HRG 2.5 inches lift will make a big difference

Good driving and spoting. Trailsport doing great.
Thanks. Kept in Trailsport mode, in standard option to keep it in 1st gear. Worked perfectly.
@@BFAAdventures just so you know the transmission can't hold 1st gear. It will typically shift around 6-7mph.
That is correct. But going up this uphill, never touched 6mph, well as far as I can tell. This felt more like crawling slowly over those boulders.

Yes I will do one.
