    Best demo I've seen of the Terror Stamp! And I like that you used a strat with also low gain and bluesy settings, and with pedals. I'm going to buy this, thanks!

      Thank you very much! Really hope you enjoy the tones :) I think it's awesome with single coils and sounds best with gain up to crunch. I use pedals for more gain with it because the gain in the amp gets very fizzy when turned higher than 2 o'clock

      Hi, just another question. Would the Stamp still sound good at low volumes for playing quitely in a flat/apartment? I read one reviewer say it sounded thin at low volumes.
      Or maybe I can connect the Stamp to my audio interface, then to studio monitors, and control the volume that way?
      Just want to make sure before I purchase!

      I've been able to get an appropriate volume and get it sounding good. It does.need a bit of volume before it sounds good, like any amp really. I tend to use an attenuator. Harley Benton had a pretty cheap one which does the job.. Plugging it straight into an interface and then into speakers would require using the build on cab sim which tbh isn't that good. If you have external cab sim then use that.

      @@AlexisGuitars That's good to know, thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure if it was better when turned up. I'll take a look at an attenuator like you mentioned. Thanks!

      Thanks again. I'm soon to buy a Cab M, and saw you use it with the Terror Stamp.
      1) Do you connect Stamp line out to Cab M line in, then Cab M line out to Stamp return (not sure if it needs to connect to Stamp return or it's fine without that?) then Cab M XLR DI out to interface?
      2) Can you first connect a delay pedal before the Cab M then have Cab M out to interface? Not sure how to use a delay/reverb pedal at same time if connected to Stamp.
      Sorry for the long questions, just hope you can help! Thanks!

    I like the fact it has a send and return on the back too, that's more than the micro terror head offers! I always look for that for delay pedals, I prefer them in the loop.

      Yes it's definitely a great feature. I had always ignored the effects loop until recently decided to see what for myself how things sound going in the loop than in front. Definitely enjoyed the delay pedal more in the loop. I don't normally use reverb and I can get it from the CAB M if needed, but I imagine it'll be a similar story.

    Good review thanks. Can this handle a loud drummer during rehearsals?

    • @AlexisGuitars
      @AlexisGuitars  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! Though it gets very loud (with gain) I've not had the chance to play this with a drummer yet, but I think it might struggle with a particularly loud drummer.

    nice playing! so basically I'm looking for something give me nice tone with effects straight to mixer.. will this work well for that?

    • @AlexisGuitars
      @AlexisGuitars  3 года назад

      Thank you very much! It will work but I don't like the in built-in cab simulation from the "phones out" output.
      If you go direct from the amp I would use either the line out into the interface and then use your own cab simulation, or like I use it these days in my latest videos: speaker out into Two Notes cab m, and then I to my interface.
      Either way, it's a great little amp and works well with pedals in my experience!

    so, Orange Terror Stamp fx send into Cab IR, no Power Amp simulation the chain? I ordered one, and thinking of using it with Bias FX 2 cabs and effects.

    • @AlexisGuitars
      @AlexisGuitars  3 года назад +1

      Hi Sergei, yes that's how I used it in this video. I can't remember if I had any post EQ set from the CAB M or not.
      More recently I've started using the orange stamp's speaker out into the Cab M which provides a much louder output. No post EQ, no power sim, just the amp into cab sim and I really like the tones!

      @@AlexisGuitars thanks! That is interesting! I mean using the speaker's output. Did you notice any difference in tone rather than output level? We all know that in case of big tube amps power section also adds coloration to the tone, sometimes very essential. This amp has solid state output, and most probably it is just linear amplification?

    • @AlexisGuitars
      @AlexisGuitars  3 года назад

      I can't say I noticed much difference to be honest! Just the volume. I've made a few videos with both methods and the only noticeable change is volume for me.
      I think you're right, because it is a solid state power amp it probably just boosts the volume rather than add any real tone shaping - though I haven't actually looked into that!
      Hope you enjoy the tones you get out of yours!

      I know it's an old post but I wonder knows if send( lime out) straight to the audio interface with bias fx works as well. Do you ever tried? Thanks

    Is it good at low volume can you get that nice gain sustain ?

    • @AlexisGuitars
      @AlexisGuitars  2 года назад

      Hi mate yes it is good at low volume for both clean and gain. For very high gain I'd say it needs a tube screamer type pedal to tighten it up as it gets a bit fuzzy.
