@@lilyleon1475 Only in theory. Since the 1980s, when there was a huge variety and already highly advanced technology, music has taken a slide into the abyss. The 1990s were still great, although not as innovative and already a little narrow in terms of variety. But the average quality of post-2000 music is just horrendous. Obviously, in every era, there are wonderful pieces. But 1980s had the richest combination of audio quality, video quality, variety, and innovation. It is easy to determine from how many memorable songs of all kinds there are. For example, post-2010, there are literally just a few, compared to the countless hundreds from 1980s. Today, music is very limited in terms of style, there is often unbearable repetitiveness, etc. Obviously, if people became internally free and independent again, like so many were 40 years ago, music could shine again or even more, thanks to the basically unlimited audiovisual capabilities of today. I've been singing this song to my husband for years. I couldn't believe I found it. My husband thinks I made it up. We were both shocked when we found out it was Sheena Easton.
Back in 1980 when I was 15 years of age I had the biggest crush on Sheena Easton. Two of the singles I brought that year was this one and Ashes to Ashes by Bowie.....happy days.
I’m the same age as you wasn’t it great to have such rich music and now I’m an international lady bog diva legend in the gay community entertaining men from all over the world little did I expect that at 54 now
Ashes to Ashes.... one of the greatest songs on 1980! My mum bouggt this and Ashes to Ashes. There were too many amazing songs to afford them all in the 80's! I always remember the songs mum bought around that time and the tape we used to play in the car.. Ashes to Ashes, Shandi, Winner Takes It All, 9 to 5, Downhearted, Dreamin'... so many good songs. I was only 3 when I started buying records at the age of three in 1980. It was hard to buy all the records I wanted with $5 a week pocket money when a single was $2.49/$2.99 and an album was $10.99. Which of course had climbed to $19.99 by the time 1989 came about and records were being phased out.
The song is about a woman who waits at home all day for her man to come home from work. The music video was filmed on the Bluebell Railway, a heritage line running between East and West Sussex in England. The video stars London and South Western Railway No. 488, a preserved LSWR 0415 Class locomotive.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I DIDNT KNOW NOTHING OF THAT STORY. I THINK SHE GOT A BEAUTIFUL VOICE. ACTUALY, PERFECT FOR ME! GREETINGS AND VIRTUAL HUGGS FROM VENEZUEA? I HOPE YOU TAKE CARE!
Finally! Sheena is posting one of our most memorable vids from the 80's. I grew up watching my father work hard for my family, come home and spend time with all of us. My mother stayed home for a period of time and raised us. As adults, we have respectable jobs, have an education and proud to worship God. No drugs, no criminal records, no bad relationships. Take that, Liberals of the 2000's!
Erm you mean neo liberals who started the Iraq war and who bailed out the banks instead of the people, and shipped jobs off to China which is why you can’t raise a family on a single income.🤷♀️
@@hannahbaer265 just saying arguably some people REALLY disliked the jobs being shipped over to China (for example my father (who was born in 51) lost his job around that time)
This song is about her being ecstatic about finally finding a man with a job. 😂 Sheena could really, really sing. That's real talent, not autotune. Also, I can't hear this without thinking of Cosmo Kramer at Brandt Leland and George Costanza at Play Now.
Great Video! Sheena Easton is a beautiful singer, actress, entertainer, performer and person! Beautiful outfit and hairstyle! Sheena Easton is incredibly talented! I have always loved Sheena Easton! I was only 3 when this song came out! Thank you for posting and sharing this wonderful video!
Oh my god, the singer looks like a doll! Love her blue outfit, but more than anything I've been in love with her voice since I was a baby. I'm now seeing her for the first time at 35-years-old 😂
I have great memories of this song. I was staying with an English family as part of a language study trip in Biggin Hill, Kent, in Engalnd when I heard it on the radio. I was 11 and so happy to get the single at the record store in London. I then kept listening to it on my record player back to France. Such a catchy and refreshing song. Everything was cool…
The first time I heard this was on Seinfeld when Kramer had his job. Season 8. Then again on Seinfeld, George had his new job. Season 9. Great song. It fits perfectly for that television series. 😊🎉❤

I'm with you bro, Jan '65, class of '82. Alumni of the Golden Age.
I’m the same age as you wasn’t it great to have such rich music and now I’m an international lady bog diva legend in the gay community entertaining men from all over the world little did I expect that at 54 now
@@julesario Well done. Age should never be a barrier to living a successful life. Men are like wine we get better as we age. Best wishes.
I, was a 80s kids so I remember this song. Underrated singer. ❤
I was 7 and loved this song. My dad did too; I think of him when I hear it now.
Happy birthday Sheena Easton remembering great song morning train 1981 appearing more than one time Dick Clark American Bandstand❤❤❤
@@albertromero2855 Yeah but who was the dude...he reminds me of someone I worked with who had that same sense of insouciance.
Hi Smith hope you're okay?
And thanks to George Costanza,it's also the Jerkass song.
This song just came up and I started singing it. Brings me back to the
‘80’s 👍🏼
I haven't heard this in YEARS!! LOVE IT ❤❤❤
Her #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 from early 1981
A fantastic song. This song was massive because its simply impossible to get out of your head. So catchy and fun!
Eye think about this tune frm time 2 time 4 no good reason. Eye'm 44 NOW but this chorus takes me back 2 my #childhood!!
😂agreeeeeed
After 1:50, when she turns her back to the camera as a heterosexual man, that kills me!
This song makes me so happy every time I hear it.
大好きな歌なので聴けてよかったです!PVを観られてよかったです!ありがとうございます。
私もこの曲、イントロから弾む様なメロディーラインがたまらなく好きです❤
This and For Your Eyes Only are immortal classics.
That's a good pick. I wouldn't mind hearing your jukebox selection.
She's a great singer!
Great video and great song, pretty lady
Agreed!
Magnificent singer indeed
All Manchester Untied Fans from Ohio, stand for our National Anthem
Old school Sheffield United players would be disgusted that blades took the knee first. Disgraceful
Eurotrip xD
hahaha
Finally someone from Ohio.
And vinnie jones loved utd? They must have paid him crazy money....
Amen!!!!
Erm you mean neo liberals who started the Iraq war and who bailed out the banks instead of the people, and shipped jobs off to China which is why you can’t raise a family on a single income.🤷♀️
@@hannahbaer265 just saying arguably some people REALLY disliked the jobs being shipped over to China (for example my father (who was born in 51) lost his job around that time)
I loved her transition from this sugary sweet song I love to her song with Prince you got the look brilliant 👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
*Je suis sidéré par la beauté de cette chanson, la mélodie est magnifique !!! je me lasse pas de l'écouter !* j'adore !
Haven't forgotten that voice, so powerful!
This song is about her being ecstatic about finally finding a man with a job. 😂
Sheena could really, really sing. That's real talent, not autotune.
Also, I can't hear this without thinking of Cosmo Kramer at Brandt Leland and George Costanza at Play Now.
Lots of musicians could sing back in the day 🤔😁🤣😭
bullshit. everyone knows that she is singing bout the greatest football team in the world. Manchester United! woohoo!
Haaaaahahaha
@@paulinelambert7780 LMAO HAHHAHA, OHIO'S MU ANTHEM
I notice Sheena has a really natural beauty about her that is rare nowadays.
Wowzers this takes me back to university days, sophomore year. Every guy on campus loved this song.......and Sheena. ❤❤❤❤
First song I remember as a child listening out for it on the FM radio. WOW!
Just a big fan of her voice and she's gorgeous too.
❤❤❤YES❤🌈💜🚂🚇🚂🚋
Great Video! Sheena Easton is a beautiful singer, actress, entertainer, performer and person! Beautiful outfit and hairstyle! Sheena Easton is incredibly talented! I have always loved Sheena Easton! I was only 3 when this song came out! Thank you for posting and sharing this wonderful video!
One of my forever ear worm songs. Love it!
Oh my god, the singer looks like a doll! Love her blue outfit, but more than anything I've been in love with her voice since I was a baby. I'm now seeing her for the first time at 35-years-old 😂
Hello friend, how're you doing today??
Hi jessie hope you're okay?
OMG! It's Jessie! Have you been doing alright !?!?
Happy 60th Birthday Sheena Easton
AND , MANY , MANY , MANY MORE , 💕‼⤴✔☑🔥🎸🎶🎵🎼🎉💝🎉🎼🎵🎶🎸🆗☑✔⤴💕💕💝
Great song
What a total FOX! And such a great singer.
当時学校が終わってからコンサートを観に行きました♪遅くなって次の日は帰ることができずに学校をズル休み!しました… 懐かしいなぁ♪ 😂
I have great memories of this song. I was staying with an English family as part of a language study trip in Biggin Hill, Kent, in Engalnd when I heard it on the radio. I was 11 and so happy to get the single at the record store in London. I then kept listening to it on my record player back to France. Such a catchy and refreshing song. Everything was cool…
Cuando era niña escuchaba esto y lo cantaba con muchas ganas no sabía ni se inglés ni que dice pero amo esto desde ayer hoy y siempre ❤️💞💖💐
I’m glad you love it Paola, Even on Seinfeld.
I loved this when I was 8 years old, and I love it more now that I'm 48.
I was 6 years old and still love her, So beautiful.
I was 4 in 1981 when this was released and I always thought it kinda sounds old fashioned. You know? Like something 13 year Olds would listen to🤔
She's going to get him fired, bothering him at work and playing with the levers of the train!
Ditto 👍
Yeah, I'm 44, but I remember this all over the radio in 1981. My mom, was playing this hardcore.
Yo tenía como 3 años cuando estaba canción sonaba en todas las radios, que bellos recuerdos
One of the best voices ever!🌺
True
What a cool song and her voice is so fresh and beautiful and rich! Love it! 🥰✨🦋
Por fin te encontre !!! .....recuerdos gigantes de los años 70........me emociona esta cancion
Lo mismo digo...después de tantos años buscándola..hoy por fin se me dió!! Estoy feliz!!siiiiii!!!!!
De los 80s....
❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊phantastic Music!!! 9 to 5.
Shenna is a wonderful ❤ singer ❤
An outstanding singer 👏
who's Shenna?
I love her. Very talented. So magic this beautiful song.
gatch2 she is sexy and doesnt have to prove it
I swear she should've been 10 times more famous than she was...her vocal range is sick!
I agree. So many good singers in the 80's comp was tough.
You should hear her do the duet with Kenny Rogers. It was a Bob seger tune called we've got tonight
She's so cute 💝
She should also be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
All about the songs. She just didn’t have many that stood the test of time.
The first time I heard this was on Seinfeld when Kramer had his job. Season 8. Then again on Seinfeld, George had his new job. Season 9. Great song. It fits perfectly for that television series. 😊🎉❤
Sheena Easton, una de las cantantes más hermosas que han existido.
Incredible that she looks so gorgeous, is a great singer and was fully clothed through the entire video.
Unfortunately.
That won't last long once she meets The Purple One a few years down the line. 😉
Yeah...unlike all the female singers now...like a hookers...
Respect and love for her.
@@jonathanwashington6083 yeah! Yu mean the purple devil lmao
A very simple love song that works extremely well just because this woman can sing!
Perfect pop tune from the early 80's. I love the arrangement with a nice balance of programmed and traditional instruments (let alone the nice lead and back vocals as well as the terrific middle eight)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this beautiful song!🫠 Brings back such happy memories of the 80's. Sheena Easton is the BEST. LOVE her songs and unique voice! Nobody holds a candle to Sheena!🌹🫠🩷
@ShaniTrahan-tf6mhyes its so wonderful!!!🩷🌹🩷
This music video morning train reminds me of when I was working. I had to take to train 7 Days a week. I miss those long working Days.
7 days a wk ,no days off ?
@@dingleberryxo7623 the most incredible is that the person miss that o.o
Yup, i'm adding this to my punk rock and heavy metal playlist
Love her amazing vocal qualities @ the bridge 1:57. I forgot how talented SHEEna is.
This song reminds me of the scene from the movie EuroTrip where Scotty has to prove to Vinnie Jones' hooligan character that he's a fellow Manchester United supporter by singing the team's song. Out of ANY song that's ever existed, he sung this one - what a classic! LMAO I love it!!!
Amazing scene
This was my favorite song when I was 7 years old! I'm 50 now.. 😅😁😃😂
Same. I'm 51.
I was around 7 years old when I first heard this song. It still sounds as good as it always has. It never lost its touch. This lady looks just as beautiful as she sounds. She is really great
Your same age has me
That doesnt add up. For you to be 50 you must have been born in 1970. This song was released in 1980s. 🤔
Yes
This Classic Sheena Easton song first hit the airwaves in 1981 (my high school graduation 🎓 year). I always loved it, and had a teenage boy crush on beautiful Sheena Easton. I loved her and Olivia Newton John with "Physical" which came out months later I believe in 1981-82. Great memories! I miss that time period.😊😊👍😇🙏✝️♥️
This song sounded so good coming on the radio!! 📻
