yes! There are several “rules of etiquette” in regard to flying a flag that most people have forgotten about or just don’t know….. My biggest pet peeve is when people let a flag fly torn and ragged, then when someone explains they need to replace it…they take it down and toss it in the garbage! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😢😢😡😡

Here in England we are garden fanatics. It is the single most popular hobby. Through many trials and experiments we have found certain ones are phenomenal.
One of the most powerful homemade weed killers is by mixing vinegar, salt, and washing up liquid. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which acts as a desiccant, drawing moisture out of plant leaves, while salt dehydrates the plant further and washing up liquid helps the solution adhere to the weeds. I use a high pressure sprayer. It works and is not harmful to the wildlife. Salt is not a slug friend just saying. It needs to be sprayed on dry leaves and never after rain

So my son and daughter inlaw came and saw onTuesday night. I wasn't doing well either. MIThey went home to find our 3 dogs, 2 Pomeranians, and the 12 year old bull dog Buckaroo. Buckaroo had a stroke and died within an hour of the them coming home. The Poms were very loving. I ended up in ICU with heart trouble that nights they went back to hospital. I wasn't told about Buck until Sat. I'm glad to see you putting a garden. Don't know if I will get one in . I hold your family dear to my heart . I love your family.❤

Pam here….all that weed fabric is so much work to install and upkeep. We put regular lawn in between out beds. We mow and trim with the trimmer. So much neater, and I can maintain my garden boxes barefoot with soft grass underfoot. But my boxes are 2 ft h 4ft wide and 8-20ft long. So much easier on the back to plant, harves and maintain.

If you find the mulch and stall mats do not solve your water issues… try removing the wet material and replacing with limestone fines AKA rock dust or screenings. When it gets wet and drys eventually gets hard and if sloped correctly will shed water.

I sure miss the energy you guys have with all your projects. When I was 40, I LOVED being outside and working on the acreage...but now as I am pushing 60, my energy level is much less and all the chores I used to love, are now just chores that end up leaving me sore and exhausted lol. I dont know how many more years I will be able to handle all the work on my acreage, but it sure brings back great memories of when I had your energy levels. We had snow again last week, but up to +16c here today and into the 20s for next week...so we can finally start planting. The place looks great and you`ll love not having to try to keep up with the weeds in the garden area. Great idea laying down that black poly to keep the weeds at bay. The place is looking so nice guys. Keep up the great work and I cant wait to see the flag flying proudly! As always, sending love from our acreage to yours.

Your first project of the vlog brought a tear to my eye. SO glad to soon see our flag waving in the air of respect. Land of the FREE and home of the brave. Thank you to all the veterans 🇺🇸
Better to burn the edge of the garden fabric than to cut it. 😉

I have massive auger envy. I could use it for about two hours to fix our split rail fence. Looks great, guys. Garden/flagpole!

That view at 9:45 is perfect for a flag pole rising. :) Sorry I couldn't resist. GF and I love the channel and get a lot of ideas from it. It's great to see positive people doing positive things in this harsh cruel world.

Don’t get rid of the grass in the orchard. Plant wildflowers and grasses indigenous to your area. It will bring in insects that will help pollinate your fruit trees. There have been numerous studies done here in Australia that show productivity is improved by allowing native grasses and plants to flourish under fruit trees and vines

I don't quite understand the desire to cover all those yellow flowers growing amongst your garden beds? They attract bees to your garden and fruit trees leading to more pollination and better fruit, plus they look nice if you set your mind to it.

Excited to see Old Glory fly high. Now you need some lighting on it. The garden is beautiful and so much easier to control weeds.
I had that problem with our dog would not walk on new tile we got, she was so scared of it. It took a few weeks.

Nice upgrade to the garden. My spouse complains about cutting the back yard so I offered to make it where he never had to cut again. The weed fabric has been ordered and just waiting on it to arrive and then we will have an entire back yard garden. 👍👍❤❤😂😂

I just brought home enough cardboard to lay down in our entire garden. That black plastic stuff looks like a lot less work. We still have lots of time as we’ll probably get snow here before summer 😆

LOVE watching all the progress and great ideas you guys have and implement in your lives! I’ve tried a few things and just love it! I did notice your boards covering the nests and where the eggs roll is starting to warp. Something I did in my coup was use hardibacker - it is more expensive but it doesn’t warp, mold, and is great for using in areas that get wet. You can paint it as well. Spring and fall, the busiest times of the year for any farm. You are all in our prayers as always. 🙏 😊
