    Great job.
    Do you happen to know the name or part number of the large part you removed under the cowel?

    I have a 2011 x5 50i and mine burns a quart oil every 400 -500 miles. I may have the same issue because I’ve done a gas test and pass it & im also at 110k miles

      This cars have a problem with the PCV system. I recommend you replace all four pieces. I’m doing a oil catch can pretty soon on mine.

    I saw you are putting a catch can in yours, where are you getting it from and can you make a video on it too?

    Would have like to have seen you take the bolts off that are facing the heat shield, you said you used a ring spanner but i cannot see how you can use this when its a T30 screw?

    • @mysterygarageCA
      @mysterygarageCA  Год назад

      I use a t30 bit with a 1/4 wrench

      @@mysterygarageCA Thanks for that. I have an X5m E70, pulled it all apart today but couldn't get to either of those two screws, plus the 1 screw that holds the rubber inlet hose to the turbo. On the X5m E70 these are the two tricky screws I cam across, couldn't get them off so put it all back together again. Might give it another go next week with the 1/4 wrench. Thanks for that. BTW there doesn't appear to be any videos of the PVC valves being replaced on an E70 X5m on YT.

      @@user-xs3jw3wy8b the pcv system on this engines suck! They go out really quick and they start burning oil. I’m doing a oil catch can pretty soon on my x5

      @@mysterygarageCA Ok that will be interesting to see. I have two new pvc valves waiting for me to fit them, tried today, but will give it another go next week using the T30 and 1/4 wrench. Thanks and will keep an eye out for your post.
