- "Put A Little Love in Your Heart" by Jackie DeShannon
Think of your fellow man
Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see it's getting late
Oh, please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see
Another day goes by
Still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart
If you want the world to know
We won't let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart
And the world (and the world) will be a better place
All the world (all the world) will be a better place
For you (for you)
And me (and me)
You just wait (just wait)
And see, wait and see
Take a good look around
And if you're looking down
Put a little love in your heart
I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide
Put a little love in your heart
And the world (and the world) will be a better place
And the world (and the world) will be a better place
For you (for you)
And me (and me)
You just wait (just wait)
And see
People, now put a little love in your heart
Each and every day
Put a little love in your heart
There's no other way
Put a little love in your heart
It's up to you
Put a little love in your heart
C'mon and

My favorite song when I served with the
101st Airborne Division in Vietnam in 1970.
She made a lot of sense with this song back
then and this song is strong today.
I have always loved the beautiful and extremely talented singer and songwriter Jackie Deshannon! Jackie Deshannon cowrote this beautiful and classic song with her brother in 1969! Jackie Deshannon is from my home state of Kentucky! I was born in 1978. Jackie Deshannon is a lovely person! Thank you for posting and sharing this classic video!
God do I miss the great music of the sixties. Nothing comes even close to that era today. Moody Blues was probably one of the greatest groups out of that era for sure.
Beautiful song,Beautiful lady wit a beautiful voice.I loved her in1969.Still love the song
I came back home in 67 and loved this beautiful woman as well.
people should listen more to the 60s and 70s music so much feeling and love when they sing
What a appropriate song as our world tries to dig out of this virus mess!
The one person who dislikes this doesn't care and has no love in their heart at all! Beautiful song from a talented pretty lady.
Randy The Wild Horse They're just scared, most likely. Opening our heart can feel scary when we've been hurt?
Randy, I’m right there with you, this song says it all for every generation after it was sang in 1969. This beautiful lady has such a beautiful voice, she is my favorite of all time.
We need more people to listen to this beautiful song. There is so much hatred in our world right now, especially in the USA.
Good comment
This song is eternal!
in 69 coming back from nam with all its mud, stink and blood this song really rang true. jackie is a beautiful breath of fresh, clean air singing this song. its still one of my all time favorites.
+Pat O'Brien Thank God you came back. Especially today Nov 11
Thank you for your service.
Brother I was right there with you in combat in Vietnam and this song was my favorite. it helped me to survive.
A very stylish performer, with a beautiful voice. This rendition is fantastic.
Our ideals of the '60s and '70's have gone with the wind. Sad, really.
Not everywhere and not from everyone. We must reclaim these ideals and manifest them in our world.
People of all ages still believe in these ideals, but it is interesting that many of the "love generation" evolved into members of the "me decade." We owe it to our children to model the ideals represented in this song and not leave them encumbered with a ruined world and an overload of debt, guns and violence.
Don’t forget JESUS 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful
We need this now .Amen
Happy B Day Jackie!!!
Still is Revelent fifty years later! So sad that things haven’t changed much 😢
Brings back great memories. Sing it Jackie !!
Wonderful and honest song. loving and feminine (archtypal) .Only a woman could have expressed these feelings. Thank you Jackie!
I lived the 60’s and this lady is fantastic
Please everyone come together more now then before love one another !
The 60s and 70s ❤❤❤❤❤
Another favorite.
I like this song tbh
These old songs are standards, but nobody remembers who the singers were. It's a shame. How is this woman not famous and Cher is? WTF did Cher ever do? The answer is nothing. But people will be singing this song forever.
Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I can not be the only one here in 2019?

Let's just do it! There's enough hatred which leads to violence to go around.
Self-explanatory!
Heard this song on an ad.
I want to.
yes sir/woman word
Reading the comments below, I find it funny that people refer to Jackie here being 'clean and good-smelling looking' as an aspect of that past era, whereas people seeing it at the time would have seen it all as rather 'hippie' and hairy, and unkempt and unwashed, compared to the corseted, hair-sprayed look current at the same time from the slightly older and/or more conservative! I'm just old enough to remember. ;)
Jaymes Guy Yep same here! Old enough to remember that too!
Crazy indecent woman, she's probably not even wearing a girdle! These crazy hippies just wanna breathe like they can do whatever they want! It probably gets them high.
That's really how people talked back then LOL LMAO! 😄 💚 I'm breathing deeply & freely, high on life with love in my heart here!
By the way, I also think she was a great talent and I absolutely adore all her songs, including those sung by herself in her own inimitable style. I just thought that had to also be said, rereading my earlier remarks. Peace. ;)
Omg tell me how to sing
I searched this up because of snapchat
Yemaira hernandez yes! 😂😂
Anybody else here from the Flash/Supergirl crossover?
iiispongebob ME IM REWATCHING IT FOR LIKE THE FIFTH TIME HAHA LOL
Bill Gates needs to hear this according to his possesion of money. I mean that much times to get a heart of flesh and blood.!!!!
Yeah, doesn't that sound nice, try it.
