    I’ve got this same gun. The dead trigger you’ve experienced may in fact be that your grip is wrong. You really have to have a firm and straight grip to depress the grip safety. Just a thought. I’ve shot maybe 400 rounds with no failure to feed or extract. But to be fair I’ve only fired fmj.

    Have had one for a year and it shoots very well. I grip it with a push/pull type grip and no issues. One of my daily carry guns.

    Don't blame the gun for limp wristed feeding problems and not depressing the grip safety properly.

    You need to add pinky extensions to your mags. They completely change the grip feel of this gun without adding any bulk and allows for a full grip

    a new gun sometimes needs a break-in period and your issues may be with your handling of the gun.

    Well some folks can not help limp writing nowadays with our PC society, Crazy no outside country/ enemy has ever defeated America. But historically all great societies/ Empires die from within. Case in point.

    I've found that my BBR 3.10 likes .451 bullets a whole lot more than the .452 bullets. It seems to make a bunch more reliability. Oh, and Round Nose is better than Flat Nose. Another thing that I've done is built up the bump in the grip safety which has greatly increased the reliability. -Gunny T sends

      Yep! More compact. More Reliable. Accurate. SA/DA. CZ quality. But you'll pay more.
      Especially since it's discontinued.

    Wonder if a gunsmith could tune this gun to work better. Granted, I do hear ultra compact 1911s can be a bit finicky, so I always stuck with the standard full sized Government model and they generally work fine with proper lube and maintenance.

  • @Squamington
    @Squamington 7 месяцев назад

    From what ive been seeing, the 9mm version of this has had alot less issues. 9mm in a smaller gun feels/fits better IMO

      You are so wrong. Slide the same, lower frame the same. Barrel drilled & rifled for 9mm. Different spring rate. No barrel porting. Mag for 9mm. Other than those differences, same exact pistol.
      New, before firing, field strip it, clean it, lube the living shit out of it. Metal will soak a lot up.
      Need to break it in. 25-50-100-200+ rounds. For slide & frame contact points to polish each other. Keep it lubed & clean. Metal shavings, can affect natural polishing. Carbon build up will work like sandpaper. Field strip, Clean & lube the dam thing. Brush the shit out of the barrel & chamber.
      Field strip & clean. After you put 200-500 rounds through it. Should not have any failure to feed or eject.
      Check ramp, look for burrs, polish if necessary. Check extractor, replace with stock or aftermarket, if having ejection issues.
      Try different ammo. The BBR, like every 1911, 2011, Is a long term dependable weapon system. It has been improved upon greatly.
      Yet still an automatic. Like any automatic firearm. One must understand they are never 100% reliable.
      If you want 100% reliability. Get a revolver.
      Since the sales rate is decling. Go 9:01 walk off.

    • @djpauldc
      @djpauldc Год назад

      Don't, I have carried one for over a year and put 100s of rounds through it. The issue is the mag leaves your pinky hanging off which is reduces grip. You can modify the magazines with an extension and it will eliminate the issues. This gun is great. 10+1 of .45 in a highly concealable package.

  • @BigWater59

    My BBR 45 jammed all the time no matter what ammo I put thru it. Sent it back to the manufacture twice and finally I just gave up on it. I used it for my CC and needed more reliability due to the high crime areas i have to go into. Don't need something jamming in a gun fight. I already had to pull my weapon once this year at the scene of an accident where one party was threatening to shoot the other party and I did not feel the confidence I normally feel. Went back to a glock 19x until my new Springfield XDM Elite 45acp OSP came. Springfield restored my confidence.
