@@a-can-o-beans8340 interesting. I assumed the tiny space of clearance you see between the running wheels and the track when you look at an up close photo of a coaster undergoing airtime created that sound. But the chain dogs making that sound actually makes way more sense. Thanks for the info!
@@DeLunaThemedDesign I mean I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain that chain dogs are spring loaded and when you get some serious airtime like on an rmc they actually lift up a bit and then click once you are out of negative G. Heck even some B&Ms do this as well
@Appa Flying BisonYT That’s what I figured, but there was also this thought in the back of my head that to make rides smooth they have like a cm of leeway and the airtime literally causes the top wheels to pop up a bit but it just... wasn’t working in my head.
Right. Something like this would make driving to St. Louis worth it over going to Six Flags Great America. Goliath is a bit short and every other RMC is 5+ hours away.
@@keziah5647 Goliath is still the only RMC I've ever been on for this very reason. I live almost equidistant between SFStL and SFGAm (it's literally a difference of 2 minutes to either on Google Maps), and every other RMC is too far away for a simple day trip. I would absolutely LOVE to see either this or a raptor happen at St. Louis. It might actually make me opt to go down there instead of SFGAm for once hahaha
@Tyler Jacobsmeyer RMC boss might've been our 2021 addition before COVID hit. I almost knew we'd either get one in 2020 or, more likely, 2021, as its the park's 50th anniversary. Since, at the current rate, we'll be almost back to normal by the 2021 season, Six Flags may surprise us with RMC Boss and/or a new RMC Raptor for 2022 (I really hope we dont get a f*cking S&S Freespin. Those are cloned like mad, and there is one only a couple of hours away at SFGAm, and soon at Adventureland in Iowa. Building one in St. Louis would be a sh*tty business decision, and, we all know St. Flags isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but they aren't ret*rded.)
This was fantastic! Part of the purist in me hopes they don't RMC Boss but if RMC were to deliver a layout like the one you created here, I think we'd all be blessed! Seriously killer man!!
Six Flags just needs to do us St Louisans this one solid and I bet you the result would pay off. SFSTL isn't frequented because they never show it any love. If they did something like this I guarantee it would pay off
Of all of the No Limits Boss RMC conversions I've come across, this holds most true to the actual layout while also considering the original support structure's height potential. Excellent element choices overall. Pacing kinda falls off towards the end, but the outer-banked helix helps make up for that. Probably too expensive a design for SFStL, but an awesome concept no less. Great scenery as well. Fantastic job.
If this were to happen, it could be one of the best roller coasters in the Midwest. And they should call it ‘The Boss: Reborn’ and theme it to coming back from the dead.
Wow! This ride is so awesome! Both of us post way too many No Limits 2 RMC's on our channels. 😂 They are so fun to design! I love how you put the stats in the off-ride as well as the g-forces. How did you get the RMC logo with the transparent background for the video thumbnail? I've been trying to find one for my No Limits 2 videos but I can't find one.
Bruh this is so good. This layout is amazing. Only thing is the predrop I feel like RMC would do smn like Hakugei. But I mean that first element would be NUTS. I rly hope this happens. AND I also agree that the name should stay the same. It’s so good and this soundtrack!! AHHH U RLY KNOCKED IT OUTTA THE PARK THIS IS AMAZING
this hands down best rmc remake of the boss 100%%% if it looked anything like this... this going to be fire.....execept two things i would change..... make the drop like mystic were you flip.. and the z g roll at bttm of hill yeah its a good idea.. but i still think it will be too fast.. do an airtime hill like steel vengence at bttm of drop.. if you change those two things.. this right here... DROPS mic... but otherwise keep up the amazing work bro!! you rock:) :)
The heart line roll after the drop looks amazing. I don’t understand the theme and fire vibes of the ride tho. Like i think the color red is overused in RMCs but i get you went with the original theme sign and stuff! Great job I’m always beyond impressed with your creations
As much as I like the high speed roll at the bottom of the first drop you missed the fact that the drop is a double-down. RMC likes double-ups/downs and I think they'd keep it and even make it more forceful (outerbank even?) - a roll at the top of the first drop would probably be the move. I also think RMC would embellish the prelift more. One of the two taller bits you cut down could probably live with being a bit taller - although your profile probably allows for cold weather operation. I like the bunny hop turn ending and sneaking a roll in close to the station.
It looks so epic!! You did a really great job making this 👏🏾 I can’t wait for this to become a reality in the future, I wonder if maybe the trains would have a specific theme to it
I always thought about doing an RMC boss, but there's not point now! Really great job, the shaping is scary good. Some people make their RMC coasters way too intense but you have the right idea of making them just the right amount of crazy!
I started on my own version of RMC Boss, which also has a similar first drop followed by the barrel roll on the following straight away. But other than that this looks pretty different from what I have in mind. Also thought about calling it "The Final Boss".
Rarely does an element make my hands sweat just by looking at it but that heartline roll after the first drop...even if it was at least 15 feet from the ground I’d still worry about decapitation.
This needs to happen someday. The Boss was twenty years old this year, and it's a rough one. I still don't think those Gerstlauer trains are helping it all.
@@blitzn00dle50 Oh heck no. I bet it was a badass coaster at one point. CCIs just don't seem to age well without constant maintenance. That double down first drop was still amazing!!
My favorite coaster! Well done! As long as it’s just 3D renderings can you show how it changed a few years ago? One segment of track was removed. It’s still my favorite but I dearly miss the original version!!
Just wow. I'm blown away. I just realized that, on the airtime hills, I can actually feel the signature "butterflies in the stomach" that comes with airtime. I love it. Idk if this is just my body reacting as like a habit or something, since I ride a lot of coasters, but tell me what you guys think.

Hey Immelman, I know you probably won’t see this but I have a suggestion for you to RMC! I think Cheetah at Wild Adventures has a great layout to be RMC’d.
You can forget it, I was told by an source who shall remain un-named very high up in the company that it was considered to RMC the boss, but was simply too expensive such as $25,000 per 1000 feet of track i believe.
Looks awesome sadly I think the boss is just too big of a structure for six flags to RMC it because if you think about it they really only RMC like their smaller wooden coasters and if they do do the larger coasters they cut the ride layout in half and make it significantly shorter
we obviously don't agree, the reason I hate the boss so much is because its pacing is the worst of any coaster I can name off the top of my head. if the tracks weren't rougher than grand boulevard it would be only 1 step up from a family coaster
Good god at least wait till I can ride it first! Update two. rode it again in the summer and I LOVE Boss. please never get rid of it!
I think you did a really nice job with this, but I’m still disappointed that such a beautiful, huge structure is so drastically changed. Also it feels overboard on the bunny hills but I guess rides like Untamed are similar. I’d prefer, if this were to happen, for the lift height to increase enough such that the elements don’t have to shrink bc of the increase in friction. But yes, for what you set out to do, you did really well. I just hope SF doesn’t go getting ideas 😂
Man that heartline roll after the drop looks insane
Kinda curious what the forces are in that.
Thats black out city
He even inserts the sound of the wheels returning to the track after airtime moments. Talk about detail, holy cow.
pretty sure its actually the chain dogs that make that noise. Alot of steel coasters do that
