    CobaltDragoon has such a wide range of options, I feel like it grows on me daily. I do really enjoy HN on it. GB, DB, and R have also all been very good. 4-60HN offered me the same playstyle as my old Meteo L Drago LW105D from MF. It's not the best option at all, trust me. It's just that Dragoon specifically needs to be taller or shorter than the other Bey. If you're the same height, your 4 big blades barrage with the same power as the 4 small blades. The 4 small ones are the ones that can steal (or give) spin, and the big ones are where the real strategy comes in. If you are head on, same height, the big blades don't recoil unless attacked. If you are above, smashing down, the big blades hook the opponent and curb stomp them. From below, Dragoon is my new favorite bey to burst people with. Using X-60 height ratchets on non-attack Bits for this bey will give away too much spin and lack contact in your favor unless you have a High kind of Bit to give you some height. This thing is not really for spin stealing though, you would think it is, but this is "Perfect Placement: The Beyblade". Attack bits won't prove consistent with this bey because half of the contact points are not for attacking. The stationary ones feel horrible until you get some tricky shots by the Xtreme Line, especially with GB and HN, abuse the 4 small blades to get hit where you really want to be. Dragoon's xtreme attacks have a 1/3 or 1/2 chance to suck from my experience, so reserving them strategically and trying to win through down smash & burst primarily will likely go much better than throwing it at blades meant to take attacks from good attackers 😅 Some who have tried my 4-60HN build for it hate it, and that's valid too 👍 I personally think more weight, medium height, high LAD, minimal movement Bits are the best because the entire match banks on your aim. The imbalance is a big issue as well, I've noticed that it actually helps the down smash attacks a LOT if you have the build for it. Cobalt has the weight to get in anything's face; with a calm Bit, you will eerily take any opponent down to final hit, maybe dang near a draw, at worst. The X Defense playstyle of destabilizing others through recoil is gonna take this thing far. I can't express enough how much those 4 big blades down smashing is crucial to this bey's success.
    Sorry for the massive text wall again. I'm overjoyed and eating up every minute of this!

    I really like this combo! Using the string launcher is no problem at all for me, so I do like this release. Nice video guys!
    Edit: Now that I am working with it, it is a bit hard to work with. It gets 2 big hits in at the start, and because it is left spin it tries to equalise instead of attacking. This release needs to be on a fast bit to be affective such as: C, LF, F, A, P. For me this release is great when it works, although the skill use being, balance tuning, getting use to left spin now, and having to use a string launcher is hard, I feel like when you get used to all this, it can be a powerful release!

  • @FieraDevilWings

    I practised my string launcher technique specifically so I could use Cobalt Dragoon well. Here's to hoping the Winder enjoyers will be able to get a Winder Launcher L sooner rather than later!
    I haven't tried Cobalt Dragoon on a Balance type Bit yet. I like what I see with Point, though I think my personal preference would be to keep the aggression going, so I see myself going with either Gear Point or generally choosing an Attack type Bit, aiming for a decisive blow.
    What kind of strategies do you think are popping up now that left spin vs. right spin is possible? There are new possibilities only in such a matchup, though at the same time, with only Cobalt Dragoon as a left spin Blade part, it'll be hard to tell what general strategies may be possible. We'll have to see what new left spin Beys come in the future - aside from Dragoon Storm, of course.

    • @FabeldBeyblades
      @FabeldBeyblades  2 месяца назад +3

      Right now the main strategy concerning left spin is more counter play than strategies with the left bey. Dragoon feels like a very bog standard attacker, so the main way to beat it is to avoid being hit. Left moves very differently compared to right, so dodging is much different. Dragoon is too unstable and square for equalization to be something we need to really worry about at this stage

      Defense for Dragoon with a build slightly taller than normal Bit or Ratchet is insane. I've never seen a Beyblade down smash this hard. I watched it spike HellsScythe 9-60B so hard that it did a full somersault 😂😂😂 This bey is quite poor at some of the basics, but the strategy you have before it gives spin away to smoother beyblades is extremely potent. Lots of people are having iffy or just good experiences with it so far, but for me, this is a super nostagic and seems very unique to all of its predecessors! 🎉

    I never liked the statement "too balanced"... That basically states that the mentality of the player is to "out Part" their opponent rather than "out play". I mean, yes the current meta is basically WizardRod, but again, that's why the point deduction thing exists.
    Also, what actually determines the direction of spin on the beyblade, the layer or the ratchet? I would've thought the layer at first but considering that 2-60 can be modified so that it can be used left or right spin, I would've thought it's the ratchet?

    • @FabeldBeyblades
      @FabeldBeyblades  2 месяца назад

      A part can be middle of the road, its these middle of the road parts that bring out the skill in a player. That's what we meant by too balanced.
      The point deduction thing was used in one singular JP tournament and only for the 1v1 portion of said tournament.
      It is the blade that determines the spin direction. All ratchets (currently) are able to be put on either right or left spin blades.

      @@FabeldBeyblades "A part can be middle of the road, its these middle of the road parts that bring out the skill in a player. That's what we meant by too balanced."
      I see the point... Though it doesn't justify the requirement Takara Tomy (or whoever designs the parts) to go out of their way to create new parts that are intentionally designed to "dethrone" what ends up being "the meta". What's considered as "too balanced" or "middle of the road" is the state I feel is what the game should be in the first place, since it makes it that so that the game becomes more "skill-based" rather than determined by which parts works the best. Sorry if I failed to imply this in my previous comment.

      @@Frankie1622they meant too balanced to compete with things like WR which are already out. im sure they hope that more parts like this are released that are “too balanced” but stuff like WR is already out.

    • @Frankie1622
      @Frankie1622 2 месяца назад

      @@coleyip4763 yes… I know. That’s also my point. It SHOULDN’T be made to compete with things like WR (at least not intentionally). Because inevitably whatever is made to compete with the existing meta ends up being the new meta and repeat. It’s why I prefer that the banlist/point deduction exists. It’s so the game remains as balanced as possible as it is (which I know it isn’t… Defense types are still too light compared to what their typing is supposed to suggest). If the hope that more “too balanced” parts are released, then great

    • @FabeldBeyblades
      @FabeldBeyblades  2 месяца назад

      That's the thing. There is no banned or restricted parts list. That list was used in one single tournament for the 1 on 1 portion of that single tournament and has not been used since. But again, I'm not saying that TT needs to continue the power creep to beat out rod. Powerful things can have counters that dont also counter the rest of the meta.

    Havent had a chance to fully watch the vid, but have you had a chance to test dragoon on a ratchet that isn't 1? I tried 5-60 and 9-60 with not much luck, dragoon seems really imbalanced without a properly set 1 ratchet

      4-60 is my favorite personally. The natural imbalance being messed with by odd pronged Ratchets really throws it off, so I went for more symmetry!

    Question about the rules, what happens when a beyblade goes to the top of the stadium (the circle)? Should we wait for it to fall again to the stadium or is it a redo?

    • @FabeldBeyblades

    • @petergereige2166
      @petergereige2166 2 месяца назад

      Taper can work, it is just that P is a better option regarding CobaltDragoon, taper can work but it needs something with more speed like point for it to consistently work, 1-60 helps the imbalance TT gave for it, giving a much more stable position (which point also helps with). P also gives it more lad, so it can give you a better chance at maybe destabilising the other bey and win.
