When the levitating, transmogrified turkey falls back down 😂
Good ad lib, pointing the pistol at it. 😂
Does anyone remember?, one of Conan's last network shows, Max Weinberg played his drum set as he was rolling out of the studio, out of the parking lot and down the street, I've been looking for that video for years.
Yeah pretty sure that was the first episode when he took over the tonight show. I’m still amazed that run only lasted about 6 months.
They really went all out for this 4 minute sketch… they even have a live horse, live chickens and a floating turkey on set.
I kept wondering how the heck they got a live horse up there!
Horse elevator?@@patreekotime4578
Love how this guy identifies 😂
This is really hot
poor guy - “we’re casting a lead for a sketch where the joke is that you’re appealing despite your looks”
His nickname on the show is "Oldie Olsen" and the punchline of almost every skit hes in is that he's too old to do X. I think he was a good sport, and this was likely a welcome change!
You're my boy, Carl "Oldy" Olson!!!
Those practical effects are truly ahead of it's time! 😂
Oh how u miss Conan silly craziness and i wasn't lucky enough to see these morsels of deliciousness on my telly
I love how the music of the intro apes the soundtrack of The Scarlet Letter by John Barry.
This was magic, i thought for a second that it was an SNL bit but i didn't recognize any of yhe actors
They even add subtitles for the old man's lines
This is the most insane shit ever lmao
Okay, how's that old guy doing the thing with his left eye?
say what you will, miles orlach had a way with the maidens
So imagine bringing a horse all the way up to the set of Conan for this sketch… why?
I am confused. So the pilgrim was really a warlock who was really a roast turkey? Did it get away or did they eat it?
Yes.
Yes.
This looks like the guy from Best in Show-Jennifer Coolidge’s moneyed husband
Why did they need the horse?
i...once in Finland answred TV and a question and i won Conan book...
The guy looks like he broke out of a grave in the cemetery and he can barely speak the lines. The skit is too much and isn't funny because of it. Why not just do a skit of two idiots beating each other with a baby in each of their hands as the weapon they strike each other with. Naturally and obviously, the babies would be rubber dolls and you could tell but it would be stupid and beyond twisted and bizarre. They say comedy has no limits but I disagree. Smh big weird fail with this skit.
Oldie Olsen was a regular actor in Conans stable. He was a sweet man who played his roles with gusto. Dont be disrespectful.
@@patreekotime4578 I'm bashing the writers that wrote this, created the role and gave it to him. If he wanted that kind of role and degradation, that's all him but the skit is rather perverse.
Genuine question: When did you start watching Conan? This type of humor is all over the 1st 10 years of the show, if not longer.
@@pats5375 He's literally laughing with Conan at the end of the skit. He has 3 beautiful women lusting after him and he's loving every moment of it. No one was harmed in the making of this skit... except you I guess?
@@patreekotime4578 I don't give a dump. It's a bizarre perverse skit.
I really wish this was the real Thabksgiving origin story.
