on hindsight, strimmer should've gone for simulacra on yelan since this floor 12 cycle has VERY generous energy generation from enemies (honestly) on both sides/teams lmao

There's also the fact that since she's solo, Yelan has 100 percent field time. Which means she gets to pick up all the particles herself. With her dual skill charges it should be enough to burst on rotation with decent ER (which Xlice has) even with Aqua.

If he used aqua instead he wouldn’t have his Burst ready to go with 8+ seconds in cooldown. Instead he would have his burst not ready 8 seconds after the cooldown is over.
@@MrMoyomi He has C1 (double E), Yelan is on field 100% of the time to catch particles, the enemies drop a decent amount of particles, and with Aqua he'd have ~170%ish ER? (Don't recall exact amount sorry). He'd get her burst back by the time cool down was up.
@@blankness8 Maybe against multiple enemies but I doubt it's enough against algorithm
I personally really like how this rotation's floor 12 has tons of very aggressive enemies that hit like a truck. The DPS checks aren't any worse than normal but it is nice feeling like the enemies are actually a threat.

i can't even beat this abyss' floor 11 with 3 stars
I did this abyss while only relying on Xingqui’s healing and Beidou’s mid shield for the second half and it was hell. The team was a hyperbloom team with Cyno, Xingqui, Beidou and Nahida and it shredded enemies so fast(did triple kenkis with almost a minute to spare) but I was nonstop dodging. Surprisingly the kenkis weren’t even that hard to survive especially when compared to the other enemies. Like those godforsaken beast things were really annoying even with a Bennett and doing the triple Pokémon trainers without a dedicated healer on my Cyno team was a traumatic experience. The Pokémon trainer chamber was so bad that if I hit a bubble at the beginning even with Beidou’s shield my Cyno would instantly die bc he was already at low hp from the previous chambers. It took some tries but eventually 3 starred the last chamber with two casualties(RIP Cyno and Beidou). The things I put myself through just to play some of my lesser used characters in abyss when I could be doing it all first try with my Alhaitham and C4 Raiden. 🥲 Aside from the malding it’s fun tho. 👁️👄👁️

Im struggling pretty hard with this abyss, its the furthest i've ever gotten so far though, i kind of have shit artifacts as i just recently came back to the game, but im enjoying the challenge

@@pretty.billy. Yes, second floor is the toughest but once you made it through you can definitely do 12-3. If you can't beat it this time around just focus on getting 8 units (2 teams) up there so you can beat it in the future. Good luck!

I did this a few weeks ago and for this abyss, it is much better to run aqua with an er sands. The only challenge was 12-2 with the new mobs but you shouldn’t have any energy problems otherwise
i also run aqua with er sands that has relevant substats. i’m surprised more people don’t run er sands on her
Does C4 fully compensate for the lack of HP sands?
@@imnotsinister8331 Aqua already somewhat does that, specially at high refinements, but the 40% from c4 and even aqua r1 ends up being basically the same as a hp% sands, and i personally run her with hp% circlet as well so the impact of losing the hp sands would be even smaller

I always wanted to know how strong C6 Yelan is with Favonious Warbow and this showcase gave some insight without having to look at spreadsheets. Think Eula & Diluc are the only units I want to C6. Everyone else staying at C0-C2.
Honestly if you want to commit to Yelan but don't want to go all the way, Aqua would be a better choice to go for than her C6. I've tried out both, C6 is not worth it if you don't have Aqua, so C1R1 is more valuable than C6R5 energy weapon (I tried out fading twilight). C1 tends to help fix her energy issues with Aqua so that's a good stopping point, C2 is great too. But I may be wrong since I'm no TC

My c0 yelan do higher numbers with her burst with favg than his,so u kinda can main her even with c0 and some supports
@@imnotsinister8331 Aqua is unplayable without C1, the amount of damage lost with 0 uptime on ult, is catastrophic.
Double hydro can allow you to run Aqua a bit more, as it alleviates her ER issues, specially xingqu.
I actually calculated Aqua to do at best, 1,500~ more damage, if I change to an ER sands comparatively to Fav, but I don't want to test out the amount of energy issues that happen without the Fav particles.
Even with Fav I sometimes struggle if she isn't on field catching on particles at 210% ER.

If it makes you feel any better, I lost my Alhaitham 50/50 to Keqing so Yelan could come home. Got Keqing at 87 pulls and Yelan at 79 pulls
Oh, a comrade. I got Qiqi too on her banner, I was malding because I was looking forward to use Yelan on my Alhaitham quickbloom but now it's just a dream. 😂

For anyone struggling with Abyss, I'd actually recommend going for more Energy Recharge (like Fav weapons), you'd be surprised at how useful having 100% burst uptime actually is... Unless you're playing Anemo Traveler or Albedo (useless bursts).
For example, Amber with good ER is basically a PYRO MACHINE, you can vape/melt like crazy in that short window (just imagine Amber + Ayaka burst). Most characters get a lot of value simplying by pressing burst, especially non-hypercarry's.

I used to hate the Favonius weapons due to my early game lack of knowledge about how Crit Rate worked, so I thought the Fav weapons just weren't working correctly. I recently made a new account and got a Fav Sword early for my Traveler, and now my Traveler on every account has a Fav Sword and so does my Layla on main. The Fav weapons are the only weapons I will never use as fodder when I 'get too many of them'. They're always going to be useful.

The way he missed most ennemies with her skill on the very first floor was painful for my ocd
Hitting all enemies with the skill is almost always less efficient than just getting your burst up and starting to spam your autos. It's time wasted, just hit 1 or 2 for the energy and move on
@@Mr_Mellowz well it’s for the knock back it does.. time is irrelevant for the first floor because it’s a defend the monolith thing..so it’s actually smarter to make sure you hit all the enemies so you can knock them down/aggro them
@@pretty.billy. I can make the exact same argument that ending it sooner lets you kill them sooner, so they deal less damage. Even using your point, you could then E the ones close to the monolith for the knockback, and leave the ranged ones, that would still fall into this guys comment of "wahhh he didn't E them all my OCD"

@@pretty.billy. Yes, it takes time to hold E and run to all enemies, especially the ranged ones that spawn further away. You could just E the melee's that are close to the monolith and then start auto attacking with your burst, more damage, less time wasted. This isn't rocket science, and I was merely pointing out that this whiny comment talking as if he misplayed so badly and boohoo my OCD is just cringe

I wanted to clear the second half with hu tao. I was have trouble with 12-3-2 so I decided to try and bring an electro character with hu tao and no shield/heals. Needless to say I got wrecked lol.
Ik a guy who did a speed run with funerational hu tao with the consecrated beasts. I think they did this shit in 2-3 rotations without so much as getting hit.

Not unless you're doing a nuke build to show off to your friends. 80 CR 240 CD will do more damage than 50 CR 300 CD.

With that said Aqua is miles ahead in Yelan's arguable best teams (where noone else really _needs_ their burst):
Double Hydro Hyperbloom
Double Hydro *(Insert Pyro Carry)*
Running 135-155% ER with XQ on Sac or Fav in these teams is enough and even Stringless/Vhunt/Recurve Bow over Fav on Yelan are a damage increase .
Ofc if you run her as solo hydro go Favge all day. :-)

@@ArchibaldVonSkipnot many people have high refinement sac sword. If you use fav Xingqui, your Yelan needs 170 to 200% ER which is too much to justify going for Aqua
@@ceizhore4498 if you run yelan so then fav is better however if you run her with xinqu with sac she only needs like 130 energy recharge because xinqiu provides so much particles with sac sword passive so that aqua would be better

i know this is unrelatable to the video but
I just spend my dehya's fund on c1 hutao and I never feel this empty
I never need c1 hutao but all those meta slave just make me insane
for me the abyss was never a thing but all this people keep saying on strength level and make me cant have fun with the character that I pull of personal preference, or you can call it waifu
I ended up waste all my 180 saved fates that I saved since nahida banner, November
then I uninstalled genshin
what i learned:
consuming beta content is not good, I should have leave it as far as i can, people will just bash the out of character if they don't do damage as much as existing characterr, they are always comparing never satisfied
i know that people just want a strong character, me too, and sadly sometimes genshin just bad at it, create a mid character
but now i just cant take it anymore
for me consuming beta is a mistake
