  • Lectric's XP Lite is a super light, affordable, and surprisingly peppy foldable electric bicycle! The core features Lectric riders know and love from the original XP and XP 2.0 models are still here, while being more maneuverable, lighter, and more compact. The 720 Watt peak motor integrates a sweet twist grip throttle with five levels of pedal assist, providing enough power for most people who just want to ride bikes for fun or for a daily commute. This 40-pound electric bike is perfect for people who want to load up a bike in the car and go to fun spots where you can't easily ride to! The Lectric XP™ Lite is epic, and in the running for Fresh and Felicia's FOLDABLE OF THE YEAR award! Pick one up on Amazon: a.co/7Wd2S6B

    I just bought an XP Lite. I debated for a long time whether I should go with the Lectric XP 3.0 or Lite. I decided to go with the Lite. Don't let these videos fool you; the 'Lite' is still pretty hefty, as it is an electric bike with a steel frame. (In my opinion, Lectric needs to get to work on a true "light" bike with an aluminum or composite frame, but I digress...) The bike has excellent build quality and handling capabilities. I'm 5' 6" and hate bikes that ride too high. I think they are dangerous, and electric bikes are generally more dangerous than regular bikes, anyway, as people typically ride (and, therefore, crash) them at higher speeds. So, a highly maneuverable bike with excellent brakes is a must. This bike fits the bill.

    Great review! Did you try it on packed sand like on the beach? I live a couple miles from the beach and will be riding it exclusively on the beach casual cruising, but didn't want the extra weight of the XP 3.0 was hoping this would work.

      We haven't had much luck on our local beach with any bikes that didn't have 4" tires in loose sand. But on packed sand it should fly nicely.

    I like everything about this bike except the lack of a shifter. I like to pedal around 12=15mph and at those speeds I'm just pedaling air.

    • @antson6356
      @antson6356 Год назад +1

      You can just lower the pedal assist to a level that you still get resistance at those lower speeds.

    • @johnstack5008
      @johnstack5008 Год назад

      @@antson6356 Yes, but I think you have missed the point. I want to be able to pedal at higher speeds and actually provide some human assistance to the motor. Right now, it's basically a moped but with an extremely limited range.

    • @antson6356
      @antson6356 Год назад

      @@johnstack5008 yes you can put it on a lower PAS that the motor maxes out around 12 to 15 mph but still pedal harder to get to speeds higher than 15mph.

    • @johnstack5008
      @johnstack5008 Год назад

      @@antson6356 PAS 2 max is 10 mph. Above 10 mph hour your feet are moving like mad because of the gearing (not pleasant at all). PAS 3 max is 15 mph but at that speed you are pedaling air. I never use above PAS 2. If I want to travel above 10 mph I use the throttle only.

    I’m zeroing in on this bike. Looking for a good, can-do, electric bike for my wife. At just 4’9” she needs something that is small, but keeps up with me and our two teens. Looks like she’ll be going even faster than us on this though!
    I average 12mph on my 17lbs XC bike, and 22-30mph when I really push it. The kids tend to average 9mph. I’m guessing with my wife on an XP Lite, she’ll be averaging 12-15mph - enough to keep us on our cadence!

    • @FreshandFelicia
      @FreshandFelicia  Год назад

      It's really a great little bike! Felicia doesn't really open it up - she'll use the throttle in the wind or up steeper inclines, but the pedal assist propels her nicely at about 10-15 mph. Your wife will be right there with you. We replaced the seat with something a little more cushy. She'll love the XP Lite!
