Lasko 3515 Air Companion | Initial Checkout

The initial checkout of a Lasko Air Companion fan model 3515.
This is one of the rather uncommon units seem at one of the vacation houses from a few years ago. I have been searching for one ever since; this is the first one that's surfaced.
It is in quite good condition. The plastic doesn't appear to be too deteriorated and is nowhere near as creaky as the other one I showed from vacation. It seems to have been cleaned relatively well at least once, the amount of dust accumulated inside the motor is far more than what's on the guard and blades.
The unit is much better than I remembered. It is very quiet and moves a tremendous amount of air. It utilizes a 1.1 amp PSC motor from the early 2000s and does not have a fused plug. This is likely one of the recalled motors.
This is one of the models that reincarnated under the Air King brand after it was discontinued under Lasko.

Great fan! Moves a lot of air yet doesn’t make much noise. This is what I look for in a floor fan. The blade might be a little bit out of balance, but overall, I’d say it’s excellent. I’m glad you’re enjoying your new tripod. Great video, as always.

I never got to really see that tripod; I'd be interested in seeing that too. Really cool little fan. I like how Lasko products tend to look like a basket or something.

I found one at the flea market, and I would have gotten it. Only problem is, it was in someone else's possession, meaning I could not own it. Had I been there mere minutes before, I would have been able to preserve it. I have never seen one in person ever again, nor before that encounter. I appreciate that you switched to a metal tripod, and I am pleased to see a better filming result because of it. However, it is unfortunate that it doesn't have a quick release. Anyway, I hope to get one of these air companion fans for myself.

I think the Air King one was on Amazon up until a few years ago, it's a shame it got discontinued.

I’ve recently discovered that lasko shrunk the size of their motors for the first time in over 20 years. I discovered it when I cleaned someones cool colors box fan that they bought within the last few months, and the motor was surprisingly smaller, and looked a bit different

It does not. But there are other fans that look similar to this that can oscillate.
