Wow bro that's rare that Lakso would make a fan with perfect balanced blades so glad you got it and can't wait to see you use it this summer. I enjoyed the video
2:20. When you were reading off those model numbers there, you were looking at the row for WHITE color models (1820/1825/1824/1821). Searching "Lasko 1825" on Google Images yields a standard white Lasko Cyclone fan with manual rotary controls. The row below that is what lists the WHITE, REMOTE models (1850/1885/1854/1880/1888/1889). I believe this is another Lasko 1888 that you've picked up. It's the only one that matches visually when I do a Google Image search, and it looks identical to the one that you posted to the channel on February 15, 2023.
Thanks for the information. I agree, this is a 1888. I knew something wasn't right, when I was searching that top list I wasn't able to find one that matched quite right.
I almost wonder if the grills were swapped or something and these and the older ones from the early 2000s were really good fans for plastic cheap fans the newer with the plain logo don’t compare to these what so ever but it is to be expected and I think those were one of the last really good lasko pedestals
Dope FAEN bro - my dad got a similar model but it’s variable speed. Seems decent quality product with a reasonable design. Hope to see some fan service videos soon
I always thought these 5 blade lasko stand fans were pretty good. I had one for a while that I got off the curb. I gave it to my mom to use, and she liked that fan. The one I had was a none electronic control model. On a side note. We had that same Hoover Wind tunnel vacuum when I was a kid.
I think they're generally decent as well, but this one seems particularly decent. Probably because of the metal guard. My grandparents had one of those for as long as I can remember It's a good machine.
How do you keep finding these nice fans on the curb? Most of the fans that I have found on the curb look like they went to hell and back (broken in half, all the blades broken, etc.) I once found two Lasko box fans that I lubricated back into working condition, but that was it.
My Lasko 2526 gave up the ghost after 6 years (2017-2022) so now I’m in a market for a new fan. Should I either buy another 2526 model or should I consider a larger 18 inch fan?
Almost makes me think the guard and blades were replaced recently. Still very peculiar. I had a more modern one with 4 speeds I picked from my last job trash. It was locked up but just needed a little oil and it was good until I tried hammering out the bearing ball hoping I could put it back in. Lesson learned, dont do that.
Wish I had one of these. I really like the sound and the fact that it’s almost perfectly balanced.
This fan is super powerful! I just got one of these for my living room and it works really well!
Thanks for letting me know.

Ture it is rare I'm glad I was able to find one.
I love the way you say "FAN" 😂

I bought a modern a few years back and it is just as good.
Good to know.

This fan is very strong, even though I can’t sleep with it at night. I mainly like these in the living room.
Thanks for letting me know.

There will be plenty of servicing videos to come.
@@JordanU awesome man keep up the great videos 👍👍

nice p223 in the background i have one of those as well from ebay with its orginal box mint condition

Excellent initial checkout video of this Lasko Pedestal fan I really enjoyed it bro

I don't know, this was really quite an odd find for the curb.
I wonder how cool it will be with the D-shaped blades.
It would be the same temperature.
@@JordanU But the D-blade literally belongs to the box fans and air circulators. Plus that PSC motor can't handle such a heavy gauge of thick plastic.
unless they ordered new grill for it which you can do on lasko website
The teardown should reveal more information about how many hours are on the unit.
A rare occurrence finding a working non vintgae lasko on the road
It's more common than you may think.

I would go with something else, the 2526 has become junk over the years.
@@JordanU18” inch fan it is then.

both grills and maybe the blade were replaced I think
Nice
that must be premiun model since it has metal front gard, since normally they all come with the plastic front
Perhaps.
There is a black version with 4 speeds
Thanks for letting me know.
I like it
We r currently running fans in the house cuz our AC broke upstairs
Hey I want one of them fans 😊
I have the same trash picked model lol, just very nasty and greasy but I’ll scrub it down and it’ll work good.
Incredible. It's a shame so many of these are wasted.
@@JordanU my exact thoughts, I trash pick so many in my low income wasteful area of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
