My fan started off with a lazy start i had to keep spinning the blade manually now its squeaking, smells like it's burning and not staying on. What u think might be the issue?

It could be a lot of things that might be the problems.

squeaking means the shaft dry & need to lubricant with machine oil.

Spin the blade with your finger if it's free, then that's good. if it's hard to spin & like it sticking then you have to lubricant the shaft front & back with machine oil. the fan should work better now.

If it smelling like it burning it means the shaft it dry & need to lubricant front & back with machine oil. the fan should work better now.

So you lubricant the fan shaft front & back with machine oil & still it working the same way.
Then the next step is the capacitor must be bad & need to be replace.
