We usually end up filling up the trasharoo with other people's trash that we find laying around.
Also, props for being responsible and courteous enough to pack out your own waste. It's really not that bad.
I agree actually... if you plan for it and have a system it really isn't bad at all.
Using the trasharoo to pick up trash or litter we find is one of the reasons we actually got one as well!
Camp lights are a game changer! Especially during peak fire season. Shouldn't have to rely on a campfire for a nice ambiance around camp.
You make a good point... especially critical when you can't burn... but you don't want to light up the whole planet... just enough to get around.
Awesome video, Nathan! Love how much of your kit revolves around LNT and being responsible stewards of the world we explore - great content as always!
Thanks so much!
Great video, thanks. I'm still a big fan of the original crazy creek style chair. Easy to carry, easy to stow. Comfortable to sit on, stand on to change your clothes, or kneel on to change a tire. Carry 3 in my truck and 1 on my motorcycle.
I like those too... those are great White water Rafting chairs.
Great information for someone like myself, who is just getting into overlanding!
Awesome, Hopefully it is helpful.
Great video. Everyone wants to talk about their expensive and tents buts alot of time its the little things that can make camping enjoyable.
Another advantage with the toilet is you can avoid public facilities if you’re traveling longer distances. There are also many places closed for lockdowns/covid, toilet was our saving grace!
Great point.
I overland with 3 kids and I love that suggestions are budget and family friendly. And yes, having a good toilet for kids and lights for a dance party a must.
Thanks Jessica - One of the points of the whole channel is trying to help people get out WITH their families... A lot of people retire adventure and exploration as soon as they have kids... I'm not going to lie... it IS harder with kids... But you have probably learned this too... if you embrace the challenge and focus on efficiency... make everything as quick and easy as possible... then you will actually go and get out... also... make it affordable.
NRS straps are the best! I use them for everything! You can never have too many! Enjoyed the rapid fire list! 👍
I KNOW!!!! I totally agree... People that haven't added these to their kit don't know what they are missing... so fast - they are like the Zip tie of straps... except you can reuse them.
Great video, super appreciate your recommendations of "non flashy" gear like a toilet. Other channels tend to skip over that stuff.
Awesome video. I have been camping for years and I'm just getting into overlanding so it's good to get some ideas that don't break the bank.
HAH! I loved the comment about the raincoat. I have lived by ponchos for so long! they cover your backpack and also your firewood overnight. Great video- looking at those rock lights. Thought about it - but was hesitant. Thanks again for the killer content.
Oh man... great point about firewood cover... I have used them for that a lot... I should have called that out. Thanks
Great video your one of my favorite overland youtubers because how well you explain stuff really have helped me set up my truck
Great gift ideas as well. I think I'll share with my family and friends for no specific reason of course.......
😉
Great suggestions and I like the way you keep it concise and clear :>)
I love your content. Strait forward and on point. Thanks for what you're doing. Keep it up!
Y'all overland like we do! Budget friendly.
I definitely try to remind people the important thing is getting out there and exploring...
Very nice video, just added to my list of things to get this holiday season.
Yes. The caribeener is satisfying!😂😂 great recommendations. Definitely getting some of those lights and chairs
Great vid. Lots of good information for starting on a budget
Rock lighting, probs the first mod any family camping vehicle should have. Great video
love your videos and how transparent you are, keep it up man.
love all your content. all these items are great to have.
Awesome info man - thanks for sharing this!
Appreciate the videos! They're really helpful since I'm just getting in to all this.
This is a great list of gear. There are a couple things I'm missing that I'm going to go pick up ! Thanks for a great video, as usual !!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video, thank you for the tips and reviews. All useful.
Enjoyed the simplicity and usability of the items. Been thinking about a re-usable trash bag to take camping, so it was nice to see one thats highly recommended.
Great video as usual always good to hear about new products!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff!! Keep the videos coming!
Love the rock lights. Best add on to every rig
Love the idea of adding the rock lights to my Tundra!
Love your content, and thanks for the full size motivation for Top of the World!
Just got a 2nd gen 2008 tacoma and couldn't be more excited to get it into overlanding shape. Had a 2015 silverado and just got tired of the high payments. Loving my new (old) truck, just wish I lived closer to the mountains. Love your videos!
Tacoma's are awesome. Lower payments are too. Good luck.
@@OutdoorAuto love it so far. Hoping to do some mods sooner then later. I have so much i want to do to it!
Awesome video! I appreciate these!
I really appreciate videos like this. It drives the point home that it doesn't always have to be stupid expensive.
BTW, Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to you David.
Great video's man, keep them coming!
Great content and covered some small, but necessary items not commonly talked about. I really want some rock lights like yours... that would help A TON. Also need a trasharoo to help clean and organize waste.
Great work 👍🏼
Appreciate the video. Gonna be looking at some of these items for mext season for sure.
All very good recommendations and a few are pretty common. The rock lights though are pretty under appreciated.
Great video for myself since I am just getting started in overlanding. Thank you for all of the great tips.
Love the option for budget based rock lights, highly appreciated!
Great video as usual! I also have a Tundra and I am building it for off road. Love your channel!
Great video, thanks for sharing this info.
I love when budget vids come up. Some channels and gear reviews usually show just the "best" of everything. It sometimes makes it seem like it costs so much to get into the overland lifestyle.
The goal is always to get out there and explore... start small, start big... just start
Another great video. Short and to the point
Awesome vid really looking forward to camping with the fam.
Great video, super informative, and extremely helpful! Please keep making videos because you have a natural talent at teaching and I’ve learned a lot about off-roading from you! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the feed back... I will try to keep making good videos.
I'm new to overlanding and love all your content! Keep up the great work!
Here’s to the adventures and road trips in 2021 🤗
Just getting into overland. Your videos are helpful thank you.
Thanks for watching... we will try to keep putting out some good stuff.
Agree on the Trasheroo! That’s in our top choices as well. Can’t beat the value!
What makes it better than a trash bag?
It can hold firewood...
John Michelin To be fair, at camp we use a collapsible trash bin with a trash bag inside...so I don’t think it’s better than a trash bag at camp for collecting your garbage. However, it’s super great for carrying your trash until you can properly dispose of it. We actually had a human waste bag get punctured and leak...and I was soooooooo glad that happened inside the Trasheroo instead of inside our rig. We also carry firewood, our toilet, and other dirty essentials in it.
@@Venture2Roam of course!!! I use the same pop up style, but yeah I've had to pressure wash my bed too many times.
Loved the video, added a few more things to my wish list lol
Lots of good advice here, going to pick up some straps and rock lights now and I totally agree with the poop bags
Awesome video, so incredibly helpful. Thank you.
Hey man I appreciate the budget friendly videos and recommendations!
Great info as always. Thank you much
This list has some great suggestions! Thank you!
Thanks for the great recommendations! The pancho is a great idea!
doesn't take up a lot of room and it has saved my Bacon more than once.
Great video couple things I have to get or look into
Great video, definitely some great ideas
Really like the mini USB lantern! Thanks for all the tips and product ideas!!
You have some pretty good ideas with these items, keep up the good work on videos.
Thanks, will do!
Great content as usual. Thanks!
Super helpful for being in college and wanting to get more into camping
Awesome list! I’ve got items 1-4 and totally agree. #11 and #12 though are now going on my x-mas wish list. Thanks for the idea!
Happy holidays!
Great list! Got some of that... gonna get more
Great video! Happy Holidays
Happy holidays Jerol
Thanks for including the toilet. I am sick of always seeing TP in places that TP doesn’t belong! 😁 Nice list friend!!!
Nice video. It gave me some ideas for camp lighting
Those tension straps look awesome. Great video once again
Great video! Thanks 😊
Great suggestions. Thanks.
Pack in, pack out, that's the way to go! Thanks for the many great suggestions!
Great list, definitely added some of these to my Christmas wishlist. Saw the Victory 4x4 molle panels, they make great products.
I didn't realize how much I was going to like those (Victory 4x4 Molle Panels)... My center console was always buried in stuff and now I could almost pass as organized when we are rolling.
Great ideas for getting into overlanding Thanks.
Love your videos! Thank you
Thank you for the Support and watching... really is huge. The channel is basically brand new and all of you are helping it actually turn into a fun community.
That’s a great list of items, it’s always good looking at the budget side of things
Great video as always!
Great list, need to pick up a few of these items.
Links are in the description... glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels, keep it up
Always enjoy the videos 👍🏿
Never thought about rock lights for airing up at the end of a day, definitely going on my build list now! Thanks for the video, I really enjoy your content as I'm starting to budget for building my DD/Weekend getaway rig.
Awesome. Good luck with the build... don't let it stop you from getting out.
Love the magnetic carabiner. I'm going to have to get one. You also made some good points for the trasheroo that I hadn't though of. Thanks.
Great channel, thanks for the tips and information.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to pick up a set of those rock lights for my Tundra. 👍
I mounted the control box on the top of the frame around mid truck to utilize the standard cables to reach all corners of the truck... pretty easy install.
@@OutdoorAuto Sweet, thanks for the tip!
I have really been enjoying your recent videos... very helpful. Thanks! I like to have a headlamp stashed in the truck
Headlamp for sure... good point. Glad the videos are helpful. Thanks for watching.
I love the channel thank you for this video!
helpful video as always! a couple items there that I havnt considered but will definitely think about now. Happy Thanksgiving!
Glad it was helpful!
Really enjoy your videos!
I like the budget string lights, I'll have to take some on my next camp
I don't know if you have kids, but they are a huge hit with kids... and Wives for that matter.
Thanks for another great video!
Thanks for watching and the support.
For human waste, you could take an idea from big wall climbing. 3-4” pvc with a screw on cap, air tight, drop your waste bags in and cap it. To modify for easy clean out, put a screw cap on each side. Save your trash-a-roo.
As someone who is just starting to get into overlanding, this video is super helpful. Thanks!
Awesome, glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic review!
Thanks for the info and content. I also have a Tundra for family Overlanding.
They are a great option when you gotta get the whole family out.
Awesome! Thanks for the info. Also, I would probably click that carabiner all day long and piss off everyone around me LOL
That is exactly what I do... 😂
Loving the vid!!
Awesome... thanks for watching.
Great video! I agree with your logic regarding trasharoo
Bizarrely they are actually kind of underrated. Thanks for watching.
