Nice looking rough rider knife. I haven't bought any yet. I like the blue micarda. I like pocket worn knives. Not too bad out of the box for sharpness. I've never had a hawk bill knife so I don't know how it should sit but I would think it should go into it

Yes, easy to get a hold of
Blade is raised, so you can grasped the blade with gloves. You can lower the blade by filing down the pivot standoff.
FWIW...In the DENIM MICARTA line, there are a few knives that are T-10 Carbon steel. In fact, there is a knife, looks like the one here in the video, but there is no shield on it, that knife is T-10; I own that knife.
IF YOU SEE A SHIELD.....on the Denim Micarta line, that knife is 440A. I know, I agree, it is confusing a bit. The T-10 is a bit POCKET WORN also, more grippy.
It takes quite some time to acquire a "true" pocket worn finish. After many years they do get very smooth. Have a good one.

Yes , the one I call Mac Daddy is the 2nd largest strop at my store, I call it Mac Daddy because I think it’s the perfect size and the quality is really great. It is not the same as the one I refer to as my “old strop” that was the same size but leather not as nice, but it is the one you see in my last 5 or 6 videos
I don’t have any need or use for any knives made in China or Pakistan. I’m good with what I have.

It usually takes a long time, and a knife with sharp edges tears up your pockets , I’ll share a link with you on one I did myself
